There have been moments where something in the business didn’t go well and my first instinct was frustration with the team.⁠ ⁠ But when I really sat with it, I had to be honest with myself. Most of the time, if something feels unclear, it’s because I didn’t communicate it clearly enough. If a system breaks down, it’s usually because the structure behind it wasn’t strong enough. And if the team feels overwhelmed, I have to look at the environment I created that may have contributed to that.⁠ ⁠ Being a founder means taking responsibility for the culture, communication, and systems people are working within.⁠ ⁠ My team works hard. They care deeply about the company and consistently show up.
