A gallery wall you love starts long before the frames go up. It starts with the photos you choose.A few tips I always come back to:• Choose images that feel connected, not necessarily identical. Connection can come through emotion, color, light, or the way the images tell a story together.• Mix wide shots, close-ups, and in-between moments. The variety creates rhythm and keeps your wall from feeling flat.• Don’t choose only the “everyone smiling at the camera” images. Some of the most powerful photographs are the quieter, more candid ones.• Think about how the images live together. A strong gallery wall often has a hero image (or two) with supporting images around it.• Choose photos that make you feel something now—but that you’ll still want to live with years from now. Trends fade. Meaning doesn’t.• And maybe my biggest tip? Don’t choose based on what you think should go on the wall. Choose the images that pull you in every time. One of my favorite senior sessions ever.Our makeup artist canceled last minute, so naturally… I became the makeup artist 💁🏻‍♀️We spent the entire day exploring Mackinac Island, chasing light, making it up as we went, and casually asking the grounds crew, “hi yes where’s the secret garden??” 😂And somehow—somehow—we timed it perfectly.
