Come with me to the YEG matcha social 🍵✨👥 This event happened last weekend, but I’m still not over it!! Imagine… multiple different matcha vendors in the city all come together to share their love for matcha all in one space! With limited edition flavours curated specifically for the event, good music, good people and all people who share the same passion of drinking delicious high quality matcha that is the perfect colour and doesn’t taste like grass 😉 Sounds like my type of event!! 🙌🏼 and it definitely was worth the hype and the long line…. I’m personally caffeine sensitive lol so I limited my matcha intake and couldn’t try them all, but out of the matcha’s I tried, I had: 1. @brew.kada Biscoff Einspanner matcha 🍵 100/10 🤌🏼 2. @itskami_matcha Lemon blueberry matcha 🍋🫐 🍵 8/10 3. @thegirlypopcafeyeg Ube fairy matcha 🧚🏼‍♂️🍠🍵 9/10 4. @neverthesameco banana pudding matcha 🍌🍮🍵 10/10 My final verdict is the @brew.kada biscoff Einspanner matcha is absolutely delicious and I could have ordered 10 of them! 🤤 Thank you so much @brew.kada and @neverthesameco and @lastmodernevents for hosting such an incredible event and bringing the city together! ✨👥 I already can’t wait for the next one! #matcha #yegmatchasocial #yegmatcha #yegevents taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @thestudioamani

“What a privilege it is to be tired from the work you once asked God for. What a privilege it is to feel overwhelmed by growth you once dreamed about.” Lately, I’ve been reminding myself of this. Building a business isn’t always glamorous. It’s showing up when you don’t feel ready, learning as you go, pushing through self doubt, imposter syndrome and trusting the process even when you can’t see the full picture. Starting The Studio Amani has stretched me in ways I never expected, but it has also opened doors, connected me with incredible people, increased my knowledge, strengthened my skills and reminded me that faith often looks like taking the first step before you are fully ready. Every now and then when I am tired and overwhelmed and want to give up, I pause and remember that this is the very thing I prayed for: the opportunities, the growth, the freedom, the creativity, the connections and the chance to build something meaningful from the ground up! The truth is, building something meaningful is hard. Growth is hard. Showing up consistently is hard. But so often, the things that challenge us most are the very things we once prayed for. 🙏🏼🤍 So If you’re in a season of building, learning, growing, or figuring things out, don’t quit just because it’s hard and just because you are tired. Start scared. Start tired. Start imperfect. Just start. You’ll be further ahead than most people that never start or take the leap because they are too afraid of failure, embarrassment or trying. If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been… the truth is, I’ve been trying to keep up with a brain full of ideas while living in a body that doesn’t always cooperate. For those who don’t know, I live with multiple chronic illnesses, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and ADHD. While my mind is constantly dreaming, creating, strategizing, and thinking of new possibilities, my body often requires me to slow down, rest, and focus on getting through the day. The past several months have been a season of survival more than productivity. I’ve had to step back, prioritize my health, listen to my body, and give myself permission to rest without feeling guilty for it. What many people don’t see is that even when I’m quiet online, the ideas never stop. The Studio Amani has never stopped living in my heart and in my mind. I still have pages of notes, countless creative ideas, big goals, and a vision for how I want to help businesses tell their stories and show up online with peace, intention and purpose. That’s actually one of the reasons I started The Studio Amani in the first place. I wanted to create a career that aligned with my strengths, creativity, and passion while allowing me the flexibility to work from home with my body instead of constantly fighting against it. I wanted the freedom to build something meaningful on my own terms. Has it been easy? Not even close. Building a business while navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and ADHD can feel like trying to run a marathon with ankle weights on. But giving up has never been part of the plan. It just means that I have to work 10x harder than the average person. So if I’ve seemed quiet, absent, or inconsistent at times, it wasn’t because I gave up. It wasn’t because I wasn’t working hard enough. And it definitely wasn’t because I lacked ideas or ambition. Sometimes growth looks like pushing forward and sometimes growth looks like resting, healing, and trusting that the vision is still there waiting for you when you’re ready. Be cringe. Post the content. Start the business. Because the truth is… chasing your dreams will feel awkward, uncomfortable, and a little bit embarrassing at first and that’s exactly how it should be! If you’re posting consistently, showing up online, or building something from scratch… you’re going to lose followers and it’s normal. The crazy thing is that the ones who unfollow or don’t engage with your content are usually the people closest to you (friends, family, coworkers) It’s wild, but also completely normal. Strangers will often support you more than people who’ve known you your whole life. And social media growth? It’ll go up, down, sideways, and back again because the process isn’t linear, the algorithm is constantly changing and social media growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a lot of consistency, effort, the right strategy and trial and error. Keep posting. Keep creating. Keep being “cringe.” Because the only people who win are the ones who start, and the people who are watching you from a distance and not supporting or engaging are the ones who keep wishing they started and never do out of fear of failure or embarrassment.
