The Studio Space is CLOSED

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that The Studio Space is closing its doors. There are a whole lot of things that have led to this decision, and I won’t go into them here, but I wanted to let my followers know. Not only that I’m closing, but that #5b in The Oliver Building will now be owned and operated by @wildlightstudio!!Shannon is great, and I know that this gorgeous space I poured my heart and soul into is in good hands!

This decision was not an easy one to make, but I believe it is the right choice for me and where my life is taking me. My grandfather used to sing the song “Que sera sera…” to me when I was little. What will be will be. And the reality of that, is we never know what will happen. We don’t know what turns our life will take. We don’t how our dreams will mold and change. So while I say goodbye to this endeavor, I’m saying hello to something just as beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who supported this journey. To the friends and family who showed up to help me with build out, who listened to me on the good days and the bad, who showed up for my dreams even when I couldn’t. And to the photographers and renters who saw my vision and believed in themselves enough to jump in with both feet.

Qué será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Qué será, será

Light is literally everything and the studio is full of it!! You can do light and bright. You can do dark and moody. You can even do fully artificial lighting!! The lighting world is your oyster 💡📷

One of my favorite things about this space is the capacity for variety! Light, dark, bright, moody, simple, urban, all the things!! Great for photographers who have a style, or want to mix it up!

Wanna shoot here?? I’d love to have you!

I once heard a photographer I admire say “As soon as you stop learning and improving, you’re done.” 🤍

I’ve spent my entire career as a photographer with this wisdom in the back of my brain, and as I opened this space a year and a half ago I still knew it to be true. So here is the latest improvement…large smooth rubber wheels on the couch!! This thing now moves like a dream and is ready to be anywhere in the space at a moment’s notice!

Hit up my DMs if you’d like to take her for a spin! 🤍 by @thestudiospacekc
