Six years ago, The Study Pod was just an idea scribbled in a notebook during some of the hardest days of my life.

I was navigating divorce, becoming a single mum, facing endless uncertainty and trying to rebuild my confidence all while holding a baby in one arm and dreams in the other.

There were sleepless nights, tears, doubts and moments when giving up would have been easier, but I kept showing up.

What started in cafes with a notebook full of ideas has grown into a thriving learning community supporting children across the UK and internationally, including families in Singapore.

Along the way, we’ve celebrated grammar school offers, incredible GCSE results, confidence breakthroughs and countless moments where children discovered what they’re truly capable of, because at The Study Pod, we believe academic success starts with emotional wellbeing.

Children don’t just need knowledge, they need confidence, resilience and someone who believes in them.

To my family and friends, who supported me before anyone else did, to every parent who trusted us, to every child who walked through our doors or logged into a lesson.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Here’s to six years of growth, courage, community and believing that small beginnings can lead to extraordinary things.

What if their school holidays could be filled with more than just keeping busy?

At The Study Pod, we want our camps to be the kind of experience children come home excited to tell you ALL about.

A week where they can create art masterpieces, dance, become detectives with UV lights, experiment like scientists, cook, discover their entrepreneurial side and cheer each other on through sports and challenges.

But amongst all the excitement, there’s something else that matters just as much to us, how our child feels That’s why we end our days with mindfulness, giving children space to slow down, reflect, understand their emotions and build confidence in who they are.

Our camps aren’t simply about filling the school holidays. They’re about trying something new, making friends, building independence, discovering new interests and creating the kind of childhood memories they’ll talk about long after camp is over.

This was just ONE week at The Study Pod!

Summer camp isn’t just about keeping little hands busy. It’s about giving growing minds the space to pause, breathe and simply be.

Try this volcano experiment at home!

One of our favourite moments from The Study Pod Summer Camp was watching our little scientists create their very own volcanic eruptions!

Want to recreate the fun at home with your child? Save this for your next rainy afternoon!

You’ll need:
A small cup or container
2-3 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
A little washing up liquid
A few drops of red/orange food colouring
Vinegar

How to make it erupt:
1. Place your container on a tray (it can get messy!).
2. Add the bicarbonate of soda.
3. Add a squirt of washing up liquid and a few drops of food colouring.
4. Pour in the vinegar and watch what happens…

The science bit
When bicarbonate of soda and vinegar react, they produce carbon dioxide gas. Those bubbles combine with the washing up liquid to create that brilliant foamy eruption!

TSP tip: Before adding the vinegar, ask your child what they predict will happen. Afterwards, talk about what they observed, this is a simple way to turn play into scientific thinking.
