And for my (maybe) last plot twist of the year..

This year carried so much- endings, beginnings, all the mess and chaos. But somewhere along the way, I started rediscovering what feels true to me and what I’m meant to create next.

And that’s how The Style Setlist was born- a podcast and interview series where music meets style. After years of working as a stylist for artists and musicians, I’ve seen firsthand how fashion and music have a way of bringing words to life, giving them depth and power. Now, I get to bring that perspective to light, sitting down with bands, artists, and creatives to explore the looks, aesthetics, and energy that define them. I don’t entirely know what we’re doing yet… but that’s part of the fun, wild, unhinged, and memorable times that are sure to come.

It’s equal parts fashion, music, and heart- everything I love rolled into one. This project has been a true labor of love, bringing together everything that inspires me most: style, sound, connection, and storytelling.

Here’s to new chapters, creative rebirths, and chasing the projects that feel true to you.

Throwback to last weekend- loud guitars, the best people, chaotic backstage moments, dancing all night, buzzballs, and some seriously incredible music⚡️

Marcedes calls her style spaghetti western, Doc is pontoon rock boho (still looking for the pontoon boat). And @slflory briefly returned for round two.

But when the jokes settle and the music starts, the style becomes something else entirely: rock & roll that looks like a waterfall in the mountains (so nature, so nice).

For my next artist feature I’m kicking things off with @marcedescarrollmusic- Montana based singer songwriter and country Americana artist, alongside her guitar playing, songwriting partner @docelliotofficial!

We talked style, songwriting, and the pieces that tell a story.

When I asked Mercedes to describe her style in three words, she said: easy, comfortable, and a little flashy — which honestly says it all. Doc? A proud grab-and-go guy, united in their shared love of a good sale (a skill Mercedes credits directly to her grandmother, as one should).

We touched on icons like Dolly Parton as closet inspiration and Linda Ronstadt as a lasting style influence, but the moment that stayed with me most was this: Mercedes told me about a pair of pearl earrings and a necklace passed down from her grandmother, one of the last gifts her grandfather ever gave her. Timeless, sentimental, and full of history.

Allllll the hair, lucky denim (bird poop and everything), bolo tie lore, and one very committed crop top situation. This band was hands down one of my favorites I caught at Americanafest. Go stream it, buy the music, and if they’re playing near you, trust me, buy the ticket🔥 Also apologies to @maxkusin.music for cutting your head off for part of this- I think the videographer was a few drinks in!

Claire squared? Hell yes💖 Shiny, sexy, pizazz. That’s how she and her band of long-haired, Fort Worth rockers describe their style. Her closet soundtrack? Honky Kat by Elton John- always here for a yeehaw meets flamboyant moment. From fringe shirts to cowhide leather pants, she brings the energy, attitude, and rock-and-roll fun you won’t want to miss. Wrapping up our feature with @slflory and his band! Simon’s wardrobe may be small, but let’s just hope he doesn’t lose it all… because no one’s ready for the Bible tramp stamp era.
