Meet Valentina,

Some birthdays call for a little pause in time.

For my mother’s birthday, I imagined a table somewhere between Snow White’s forest and Alice in Wonderland.

From Snow White, I took the apples, the woodland, and the question whispered to the mirror: the wish for beauty to endure. From Alice, the mushrooms, the unexpected colours, and the freedom to see things differently—to enter a world where even time follows its own rules.

Among moss, branches, and candlelight, these two stories met at the same table. One speaks to our desire to hold on; the other invites us to be surprised by change.

At the heart of it all, my mother. Her love for beautiful things, her way of embracing the years one step at a time.

This table is my wish for her: to cherish all she loves about herself, and always leave room for wonder.🤍
