Room Blog’s Weekend Itinerary with @thetables.jkt

The Tables: R&B Nostalgia Meets Y2K Sublimation.

Agenda akhir pekan kali ini membawa kita ke sebuah sudut komunal yang sukses mengawinkan kultur musik dan estetika ruang secara berani: The Tables. Berbeda dengan tren kafe minimalis yang menjamur, tempat ini mengambil langkah kontras dengan mendeklarasikan dirinya sebagai "House of R&B".

Dari luar, bangunan semen ekspos abu-abu berpagar hitam tampak menyembunyikan sebuah portal waktu. Namun begitu melangkah masuk, Anda akan langsung disambut oleh transisi visual yang kontras dan penuh kejutan. Area outdoor yang teduh berhias vegetasi hijau subur bertransformasi secara puitis ke area indoor yang didominasi oleh instalasi seni grafiti bertuliskan "House of R&B", serta pilar-pilar bergaya street-style yang dipenuhi tempelan majalah, plat nomor California, hingga poster musisi ikonik.

A Pink Escape to the Late 90s & 2000s

Jangkar keunikan dari The Tables berpuncak pada salah satu sudut ruangannya yang didedikasikan sepenuhnya untuk kultur pop akhir 90-an dan awal 2000-an (Y2K). Ruangan ini bermandikan cahaya neon merah muda yang intim dan hangat.

Setiap detail dekorasinya dikurasi dengan totalitas yang tinggi untuk membangkitkan memori masa lalu. Mulai dari pemutar kaset boombox merah muda yang retro, jejeran boneka beruang di atas sofa beludru, lampu meja bundar, hingga dinding yang dipenuhi poster musisi R&B legendaris seperti Destiny's Child dan Nicki Minaj. Bahkan, pintu kamar mandi bernuansa merah muda menyala dengan tulisan "STEPHANIE The Secret Room" dan kutipan "Good things are coming" di permukaan furniturnya seolah menegaskan bahwa setiap jengkal ruang di sini dirancang untuk bercerita.

Rhythms, Beats, and Weekend Sanctuary

Di luar kekuatan konsep interiornya, kafe ini menjadi ruang eskapisme mikro yang sangat ideal untuk menghabiskan akhir pekan. Alunan musik R&B yang mengalun santai di latar belakang berkolaborasi sempurna dengan atmosfer ruang, menciptakan ritme yang membawa kenyamanan tersendiri bagi siapa saja yang singgah.
