I still remember when I started this MBA journey at Miva Open University @mivauniversity with so many doubts. Today, I graduate with Distinction in Finance.

God did it. Hard work paid off. I am so proud of me!

Happy Father’s Day to you, and to every father holding the world together from home, work, or miles away ❤️

Thank you for showing up even on tired days. For the lessons you teach without a textbook, the protection you give without asking for credit, and the love that becomes the foundation your kids build their lives on. You’re doing more than you think. Your “I’m proud of you” means everything, even if you only say it once.

Whether you’re a dad by birth, adoption, or choice. Whether your kids call you Dad, Baba, Papa, Pops, or just “sir”. Whether you’re near or far, present or remembered. We see the sacrifice. We honor the sleepless nights, the silent prayers, the dreams you paused so theirs could fly.

May this day bring you rest, laughter, and the kind of love you’ve been pouring out all year. You are not invisible. You are not unappreciated. You are the root, the anchor, the hero.

Happy Father’s Day, King. The world is better because you’re in it.

MIVA Convocation '26 - MBA Finance with Distinction🎓

Today hits different.

I’m officially an MBA Finance graduate with Distinction from Miva Open University @mivauniversity. And not just any graduation - this is Miva’s maiden convocation, held at the iconic National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos. History in the making.

To God be the glory. To my wife for the 1am “you can do this” pep talks. To my course mates who became study partners, stress managers, and friends for life. To every lecturer at Miva who made Finance less “formulas” and more “real-world strategy” - thank you.

This Distinction isn’t just a grade. It’s proof that late nights, case studies, and “one more module” were worth it. It’s a reminder that you can build a career, raise a family, and still chase a big academic goal. Open/distance learning is no joke, but Miva made it possible.

Lagos showed up for us today at the National Theatre. Caps flew, gowns twirled, and dreams got validated. I’m stepping out of here with more than a certificate - I’m stepping out with sharper financial thinking, stronger discipline, and a network of brilliant minds.

Miva Class of 2026, we did it. First ever. First to set the standard.

Next chapter: Put this Finance brain to work. Build, invest, impact.

Cheers to us 🥂

If you’re thinking of running an MBA or any degree at Miva Open University like I did, enroll through my referral link here: https://www.miva.edu.ng/?ref=mivataiwo6299 - let’s graduate together 🎓

The Taiwo Afolayan (TAF) Foundation is a Lagos-based non-governmental organization born out of a simple, powerful conviction: that true social transformation happens from the ground up. We believe that by equipping individuals with the right tools, skills, and
support, we can spark a chain reaction of sustainable growth across Nigerian
communities and beyond.

At The TAF Foundation, we don't believe in surface-level fixes. Led by award-winning ICT consultant and creative director Taiwo "ATI" Afolayan @atiafolayan, our work bridges the gap between raw potential and real-world opportunity. By blending community empowerment with modern technology, cultural initiatives, and entrepreneurial support, we are building a framework where vulnerable populations can transition from merely surviving to truly thriving.

Our Vision
To build an inclusive, digitally empowered world where every individual can thrive, communities are resilient, and the rights of women, children, and the marginalized are protected.

Our Mission
To drive social change across Nigeria and beyond through digital literacy, humanitarian aid, entrepreneurial support, and comprehensive care for orphaned children.
