what’s your daily non-negotiable? tell us below ↓ ☀️

build a life you feel good in.

healthmaxxing starts with the little things you do every day. what you eat. how you move. what you wear. what you put on your skin. the time you make to slow down and enjoy being alive.

fill your plate with nourishing whole foods. find movement you look forward to. choose linen and organic cotton for everyday comfort. make room for ocean dips, fresh fruit, good company, and a morning that doesn’t feel rushed.

give your skincare that same attention. learn what’s in your products, choose thoughtfully, and build a routine you enjoy coming back to.

at the tallow studio, our mission is to help everyone healthmax, one daily ritual at a time. our tallow balms are our contribution to that bigger picture: skincare that makes caring for yourself a moment to look forward to.

start with one habit. make it yours. build from there. there’s something inspiring about showing up for yourself consistently, even in small ways.

tallow on skin. intention in the everyday.

Most sunscreens have 30+ ingredients. This one has 11. All organic and thoughtfully sourced.

🐄 Grass-fed tallow — vitamins A, D, E and K. The closest thing in nature to the oils your skin already makes, which is why it sinks in instead of sitting there.
⚡ Non-nano zinc oxide — the actual sun protection. A physical barrier that sits on top of your skin and bounces UV off. It doesn’t absorb into you.
🐝 Raw beeswax — gives the balm its structure and helps it stay put when you sweat.
🌱 Jojoba oil — behaves like your skin’s own sebum. Keeps things balanced, not greasy.
🥥 Coconut oil — softens the balm and adds moisture.
🌰 Castor oil — helps everything glide instead of drag.
🍫 Cocoa powder — that’s the tint. It’s what kills the ghost-white cast you get from every other mineral SPF.
🥕 Carrot seed oil — antioxidants for skin that’s taking the sun all day.
🌿 Frankincense + lavender — the clean fresh scent, and anti aging properties.
✨ Vitamin E oil — antioxidant support, and it keeps the whole formula fresh.

That’s the entire list. No PEGs, no oxybenzone, no fragrance, no filler.

I make it in small batches, by hand. Which means I’m hands-on with every jar and I’m not cutting corners to hit a number. It also means it sells out quickly.

SPF 30 (20% zinc concentration), water resistant from the raw beeswax, light enough to wear as your daily moisturizer. Reapply every two hours and after you swim.

I developed this because I got tired of reading sunscreen labels and not recognizing a single word on them.

Your sunscreen is in your bloodstream by lunch. 🩸

Not a scare tactic. The FDA ran the study.

One day of normal use — oxybenzone, avobenzone, octocrylene — absorbed straight through your skin into your blood. Some of it still showing up weeks after people stopped.

Oxybenzone? The CDC found it in 97% of Americans. Breast milk. Cord blood. A known hormone disruptor — in nearly every body they tested.

Here’s the part nobody puts on the label: out of every active sunscreen ingredient sold in the US, the FDA recognizes exactly TWO as safe and effective.

Zinc oxide is one of them.

So that’s the whole formula. No filters that soak in. No “-zones.” No fragrance cooked up in a lab.

Just simple real ingredients like:

🐄 Grass-fed tallow — vitamins A, D & E, barrier-deep hydration
🥕 Organic carrot seed oil — antioxidant defense
🛡️ Non-nano zinc oxide — broad-spectrum SPF 30 that sits on your skin, not in your blood
🌿 Frankincense + lavender — calm, anti-aging, the good kind of glow

Simple ingredients. Zero you need to Google.

Sun protection shouldn’t come with a toxicology report.

Flip your current bottle over. Count the syllables. Then come talk to me. 👇

Creatine isn’t just a gym supplement. 🧠💪✨

Most people think “bulking.” The research says it’s much broader than that, for men *and* women.

**Muscles:** Creatine helps your cells recycle ATP, the fuel used for short, intense effort. That means more strength, more power, better recovery, and help keeping muscle as you age. It’s one of the most studied supplements out there.

**Brain:** Your brain is an energy-hungry organ too. Studies suggest creatine may support memory and mental performance, especially when you’re sleep-deprived, stressed, or eating little to no meat.

**Skin:** Skin cells also use creatine for energy. Early research on creatine in skincare points to firmer skin and support against sun and age-related wear. 🌿

**For women:** Women tend to have lower natural creatine stores and often eat less of it. Emerging research suggests benefits for strength, bone health, and mood, particularly through perimenopause and beyond.

Not just for bodybuilders. Just good cellular fuel. ⚡

“My doctor makes me use medicated skincare.” 👀

Respect. But ever notice how the routine keeps getting longer and the skin never quite settles? Sometimes the reset is going back to basics: one ingredient your skin actually recognizes.

Don’t knock it till you try it. 🤍

Skincare doesn’t start at the bathroom counter. It starts in the kitchen. 🥚

What you eat shows up in your skin. Eggs from hens raised outdoors, foraging on plants and bugs, are a simple whole-food staple. They give your body protein and fat-soluble nutrients like vitamins A and D, which healthy skin depends on.

That’s the same reason we make our balms with grass-fed tallow: how the animal lived matters. Better sourcing means a better ingredient, whether it goes on your plate or on your skin.

When you’re at the egg aisle, look for:
✔️ Pasture-raised + Certified Humane®
✔️ USDA Organic, when your budget allows
✔️ Fresh carton dates and intact shells

Nourish from the inside, then protect from the outside. Our Lemon & Honey All-Purpose Balm handles the outside part. 🍋🍯

📌 Save this for your next grocery run, and send it to the friend who always grabs the cheapest carton.

which habit are you working on—food, movement, sleep or product choices? tell us below ↓

the first graph shows u.s. study-group testosterone averages from the 1970s through the early 2020s, reported in an analysis published in 2025. the next graph covers u.s. males ages 15–39 from 1999 to 2016. these are separate analyses, not one national cohort followed through time.

daily life also changed. ultra-processed foods supplied a greater share of adults’ calories, while fewer private-industry jobs required moderate physical activity. ingredient transparency is another area that deserves attention: fragrance labels do not always name every component.

these comparisons do not identify one cause of the testosterone trend. they give us useful questions about food quality, body composition, movement and exposure.

start with actions you can repeat: build meals around minimally processed foods, walk daily, train regularly, keep a consistent sleep routine and read product ingredient lists.

the tallow studio’s mission is to help everyone healthmax, one daily ritual at a time. thoughtful skincare and ingredient transparency are our part of that routine.

save the slides and choose one change to work on this week.

Made by hand. Topical Magnesium + Grass-Ged Tallow. Made for better sleep.

Deep Sleep Magnesium Balm, now restocked😴💤🌑 by @thetallowstudiomiami

I made this balm because I was tired of “clean” face products that still listed 30 ingredients I couldn’t pronounce.

So I started with grass-fed tallow, the most skin-compatible fat and added plant botanicals and antioxidants that make sense.

🔴 Astaxanthin. The antioxidant that turns salmon pink. It’s what gives the balm its color, and it helps defend skin against everyday stress from sun and city air.
🌺 Hibiscus oil. Often called the “botox plant.” It’s known for supporting firmness and bounce.
🌰 Cacay nut oil. Naturally rich in vitamin E and retinol-like compounds, without the irritation.
💧 Jojoba. Very close to your skin’s own oil, so it balances instead of clogging.
💜 Lavender + frankincense. Calming, grounding, and honestly my favorite part of the nightly ritual.

A little goes a long way. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingers and press it in. Your skin drinks it up.

Small batch, made by hand, and it’s the one I reach for every night.
