✂️ Hair holds memory

Across cultures and centuries, hair has been treated as more than something we style. Many traditions see it as an extension of the nervous system and energy body, a living record of everything we’ve carried.

That’s why cutting it has so often been sacred:

🌙 In Hindu tradition, a child’s first haircut (mundan) is a ceremony of purification and new beginnings.
🌙 Buddhist monastics shave their heads at ordination as an act of release and renunciation.
🌙 In many Indigenous communities, hair is cut in times of grief to honor a loss and mark a passage.

A ceremonial haircut brings that intention back into the chair. Before the first cut, we pause. We breathe. We name what’s ready to go: an old identity, a heavy season, a story that no longer fits. Each snip becomes a conscious act of letting go.

What falls away isn’t just length. It’s space made for who you’re becoming. 🤍
