The very first wedding I photographed at ’Til Death Chapel… and the very last.I photographed 139 weddings inside these walls.When I built this place, it was never just about having a cool venue. It was about creating a space for the things I believe matter most: love, commitment, and family. You all know that I left the chapel in wonderful hands of the new owners, and I’m still around! I had to step away from that location because of the proximity of my own personal past relationship just being a lil too close to my ex a few feet away at the old tattoo studio to start making new memories and a new chapter for myself. It’s been a long road. I had a lot of personal ups and downs in that plaza, and built three businesses there. Countless hours of sweat, blood, and tears. A lot of great memories though too. If I asked myself two years ago if I could imagine seeing myself how happy I am today, I never would’ve believed that I’d be doing this well ever again. I’m so grateful. Every couple who walked through those doors was starting a new chapter. Getting to witness even a tiny part of those stories has been one of the greatest honors of my life.And while the Chapel has a new chapter now, those reasons I built it haven’t changed. I still believe in documenting the moments that become someone’s family history. There’s so many cute elopements and weddings I have to share with you all this year coming up! Going back yesterday to host one of my favorite little charity events that I’ve done in my career reminded me that some places never stop feeling like home 🖤 It was so fun! One of the couples that got married here stopped by to say hello, and that really brought everything around full circle for me. Thank you to every couple who trusted me with your beginning and I love seeing your love grow. I’m Amy Jo. You might know me as The Tattooed Bride PhotographyI photograph the kind of weddings and elopements that don’t look like your grandma’s wedding.The mountaintops. The theme parks. The backyard campfires. The courthouse on a Tuesday. The “we accidentally ended up in a dive bar after our ceremony” kind of nights.I’m powered by national parks, 35mm film, darkrooms, spooky season, Lord Huron, plants, and whatever adventure sounds like you could get lost.I have five cats, an unhealthy number of cameras, and somehow convinced people that following them around on the best day of their lives is a real career. (It is. My clients don’t feel like clients for long—they become people I cheer for long after the wedding is over. I’m the photographer who’ll hype you up when you’re nervous, carry your bouquet, fix your veil, and quietly document all the little moments you didn’t even know were happening. I don’t give a sh**t about being in vogue, AI, or things looking too perfect. Real > Perfection. If I come to your house for an engagement session and it looks like it hasn’t been lived in, I will put dishes in your sink lol. When you love martinis so much that you make them when you get engaged, and serve them at your wedding! Cute bonus idea: we made martinis at home with their cute pets in the kitchen, and they served drink stirrers of their faces with martinis at the wedding. I love when story lines flow, and couples are just truly celebrating their uniqueness. by @thetattooedbride

Back in my happy place (The Darkroom) after a month off to reset and work on my health! The best part about film? I don’t know exactly what I got until I develop it in the darkroom. Pulling those images out of the developing tank and seeing little moments in time frozen on negatives always makes me scream “omg yes there’s something actually on the negatives!” It’s so fun and feels so real. Engagement photos at the springs! We were just at the Springs yesterday, and Savana + Kevin come here often too so this was an easy choice location. We had a really fun photo shoot here at Wekiva Island here in Florida and spent time swimming and kayaking afterwards. I always encourage my couples to embrace what you love to do together and who you are at that time in your lives, and that just happened to bring us to the springs! I love hiking, and kayaking, and I love the springs. What made this Wedfing unique and non-traditional? The venue was a garden center! This wedding venue @rockledgegardensweddings is so unique because it’s actually a garden center that sells flowers and plants as well as allowing you to wine and beer from a kiosk while you stroll and plant shop. They also have snacks and a market! It’s big only a fantastic wedding venue, but also fun to go to everyday! Other unique fun things like the couple drawing names during the ceremony from the guest book like a game show see see who wins signing as a witness on the marriage license! A pizza kitchen oven serving anything you want. Their son made the party paper bags and put some of his favorite toys in each of them. And ending the night on a sweet note with making s’mores!
