👋🏾Hey! It’s that time again! It’s officially tax season and I’m back in the office. This is the busiest time of the year for me, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Between preparing my team, answering questions, and making sure everything runs smoothly for our clients, I want to thank everyone who has supported @thetaxgurus over the years. 🤏🏾For those new here, I’m Dr. Victoria King, founder of The Tax Gurus. I’ve been in the tax industry for a decade, and my team is fully trained and ready to take care of you from start to finish. You can find me in the office daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A few important reminders for this tax season: 1. My DMs are not my main form of contact. For faster service, please call or text 248.558.9528 or book directly through my link. 2. If you submit documents, please allow time for us to properly pull, organize, and review your file. 3. Fees are based on the complexity of your return, not your refund amount. 4. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The IRS is cracking down on abuse and false fuel tax credits. Protect yourself and work with a legitimate tax professional. 💰💰Starting today: • Refund advance loans available up to $9,500 • First 3 people who file IN OFFICE today will receive a 43-inch TV The Tax Gurus Locations: 📍Detroit 📍Pontiac 📍Southfield 📍Dearborn 📍St. Clair Shores Virtual filing is available nationwide. 📄 ONE MISSING DOCUMENT CAN HOLD UP YOUR RETURN. Before tax season arrives, start checking your records for important tax documents. W-2s, 1099s, 1095-A forms, 1098-T forms, mortgage interest statements, and other tax documents can all affect your return. If you know you received a tax document, make sure you have it when you meet with your preparer. Being organized now can save you time and stress later. by @thetaxgurus
💰 SIDE HUSTLE INCOME STILL COUNTS. Did you start driving, freelancing, selling products, creating content, or earning money from another side business? Do not wait until tax season to figure out what you earned. Start keeping track of your income and business-related expenses now. Good records can make a major difference when it is time to prepare your return. We can help you understand what records you should be keeping. by @thetaxgurus

📋 YOUR TAX PREPARER CAN ONLY WORK WITH THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE. As tax season approaches, make a habit of checking your mail, email, and online accounts for tax documents. Keep your documents together instead of searching for them at the last minute. If you receive something you do not recognize, do not automatically throw it away. Bring it to your tax professional so it can be reviewed. Preparation makes tax season easier for everyone. by @thetaxgurus
🚨 TAX SEASON WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT! Now is the time to get organized. Start gathering your tax documents, reviewing your records, and making a list of questions you want to discuss with your preparer. Do not wait until the busiest part of tax season to start preparing. We are getting ready to serve you. Get your paperwork ready and let's make this tax season a smooth one! by @thetaxgurus
TAX SEASON TIP: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WORKING BANK ACCOUNT! The IRS has moved away from issuing paper refund checks for most taxpayers, which means accurate direct deposit information will be more important this upcoming tax season. Before filing, make sure your bank account is open, active and in your name. Double-check your routing and account numbers because incorrect information can delay your refund. Do not wait until your tax appointment to figure this out. Getting prepared early helps us file an accurate return and helps you receive your refund as quickly and securely as possible. Tax season will be here before we know it, and The Tax Gurus is already getting ready for you! by @thetaxgurus
🚨 SIDE HUSTLE INCOME? Don’t let tax season catch you off guard. Selling products, freelancing, driving for rideshare, creating content, or earning extra income outside your regular job can all impact your tax situation. One of the biggest mistakes taxpayers make is assuming that income without taxes withheld does not need to be reported. Smart tax planning starts with knowing your numbers, tracking your income, and keeping records throughout the year. Your hustle can help build your future, but proper tax planning helps protect what you earn. 💼💰 📞 Ready to file? THERE ARE NEW TAX DEDUCTIONS, BUT YOU NEED PROOF! The new tax law includes potential deductions involving qualified tips, qualified overtime, interest paid on certain new vehicle loans and an enhanced deduction for qualifying seniors. These deductions are not automatic, and eligibility requirements apply. Start saving your pay stubs, overtime summaries, tip records, vehicle loan statements and other supporting documents now. Waiting until tax season to look for everything can cause delays or prevent you from receiving every deduction you legally qualify for. The Tax Gurus will keep our clients updated and make sure you know exactly what documents to bring. by @thetaxgurus
