When political leaders deploy “end times” rhetoric to justify what’s happening in the Middle East, we believe Jesus followers are invited into something different — solidarity, not spectacle.

Join us Wednesday, Sept 23 at 12pm ET / 9am PT for Pursuing Peace in the Middle East, a conversation inspired by Palestinian Christian pastors, theologians, and peacemakers.

Pastor Munther Isaac @munther.isaac (@thebipj) and Greg Khalil (@thetelosgroup) will talk with us about what support for our Palestinian Christian siblings looks like right now, and how to find a Jesus-centered way forward. We’ll also hear about the Red Candle Initiative, a way to stand with Palestinian Christians this Christmas.

What does it look like to put our faith into action for Palestine?

Telos is proud to co-sponsor Orthodox Christians for Palestine’s inaugural summit “Not in Christ’s Name”. Come join Orthodox Christians and friends from across faith traditions united in peace for a day of learning, fellowship, connection, and action.

Together, we’ll:
→ Hear directly from people with knowledge and experience of the realities facing Palestinians.
→ Learn more about the intensifying persecution and displacement of the West Bank and Gaza.
→ Connect with others committed to justice and peace.
→ Equip ourselves to advocate on Capitol Hill, in our parishes, and in our communities.
→ Discover practical ways to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

All are welcome, whether you’ve been engaged in this work for years or are just beginning to learn.

How do we actually begin practicing peacemaking when life gets complicated? How do we move from wanting peace to working towards it?

If these are questions you’ve been asking yourself recently, we’d love to invite you to our first ever Principles and Practices Live Webinar! Over the next several months, through March, we’ll be taking a deep dive into each Principle and Practice from our Peacemaking framework—the foundation of all our work—through facilitation, hands-on teaching, and interactive discussions.

This monthly workshop series is free, open to the public, and designed to be a resource not just for your personal growth, but also for your staff, church small group, and friends to engage together.

You’ll leave each session with the practical peacemaking tools, new connections, and a deeper framework for navigating conflict and leading with wisdom. Together you’ll build a new community of fellow peacemakers committed to pursuing a more just and peaceful world together.

This year, Sami DiPasquale returns as a teacher and facilitator for our second Mosaic cohort. Sami will lead our cohort of pastors through an engaging discussion of the history of colonialism in North America, the legacy of border conflict, fears around immigration, and the peacemaking work underway with church and community leaders in El Paso/Juarez with Abara. We’re grateful for his partnership and for the wisdom and experience he brings!

In Year 1, Mosaic participants will walk through immersive training, facilitated conversations, and experiential learning with peacemakers like Sami.

In Year 2, our partners will empower and equip cohort congregations as they imagine and live out practices of local peacemaking, rooted in their own neighborhoods and contexts.

“The pathway of peace is always winding, but there is so much hope for the future.”

Rev. Dr. Karen Campbell grew up as a child of The Troubles in Northern Ireland. As the General Secretary for the Irish Council of Churches she stewards that history, inviting people into a deep understanding of the land, conflict, peace processes, and the work still to be done. In the midst of painful history and wounds still unhealed, she holds a vision for a future of full peace, justice, and reconciliation in her homeland.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Rev. Karen as faculty for our 2026-2027 Mosaic cohort!

Join Telos partner Red Letter Christians for their 3rd annual Peacemaker Summit!

This year we’ll hear from people on the front lines of peacemaking, working to interrupt violence in our streets and world. Together we’ll engage music, de-escalation trainings, community formation activities, and even have an opportunity to break down guns and turn them into garden tools. This summit will also celebrate the official launch of the National Peacemaker Association (NPA).

Kids under 12 are welcome to join the children specific programming taking place alongside.

“Our faith calls us to take action.”

Ainka Jackson is the founding Executive Director of the Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth and Reconciliation, which is committed to bridging divides and building the Beloved Community. She’s joining us again as a facilitator for our second Mosaic cohort, teaching about faith in action and the Kingian principles of nonviolence. Her passion, lived experience, and extensive expertise has been a gift to our staff and network over the years, and we’re excited for our newest cohort of Mosaic church leaders to benefit from her wisdom.

‘Our lives are stitched together with the lives of people we’ve never met.’

Ben Norquist, BIPJ’s Director of Communications, went to El Paso to learn about the Southern border. What he found made him rethink what a border even is.

‘In my North American context, we like to imagine ourselves as independent creatures, making our own journeys through the world. Our culture reinforces this constantly. We have our own lawns to mow!’

But El Paso kept disrupting that story.

Ancient trails. Families split across a river. Monarchs crossing the border like it doesn’t exist.

‘And maybe that’s why I thought about Palestine from El Paso. In both places, I’ve been confronted with the same temptation: to imagine that what happens over there is somehow separate from my life right here.’

‘When I got home I mowed my lawn. But where my world puts a lot of stock in lines that divide and the power of distance, the lines that connect me to others, even those I don’t know personally, are more important. Jesus sees us as neighbors and responsible to each other. We should too.’

We’re thrilled to welcome David Bailey as an instructer for our second Mosaic cohort. David is the founder and Chief Vision Officer of Arrabon, a ministry that equips those of the Christian faith to seek reconciliation and healing in their communities. David is also an ordained minister, author, and documentary producer. David will be guiding our cohort through conversations focusing on race, the Gospel, and the work of Christian imagination in healing racial divides.

In Year 1, Mosaic participants will walk through immersive training, facilitated conversations, and experiential learning with peacemakers like David Bailey.

In Year 2, our partners will empower and equip cohort congregations as they imagine and live out practices of local peacemaking, rooted in their own neighborhoods and contexts.
