There’s a version of your life that’s waiting on you to say yes. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

I’m so glad I took the time to write down our journey with Cece. ❤️

Eight years ago today, I wrote this post celebrating one year of being seizure-free. I remember that season so vividly. At the time, epilepsy was the only diagnosis we had. We didn’t know yet that it was actually a symptom of something much bigger, RHOBTB2 Syndrome. We had no idea what was still ahead of us.

Looking back at this memory today, sitting on the other side of so many things we once prayed our way through, all I can think is…God, look what You’ve done. 🥹

Not just for Cece, but for our entire family.

So many prayers answered. So many things we couldn’t have possibly known to ask for. And so many ways God showed up that were far greater than anything I could have imagined.

I think that’s what gets me most about looking back. When you’re in the middle of something, you can’t always see what God is doing. You just keep praying, trusting, hoping, and taking the next step. And then one day you look back and realize just how much He’s carried you through.

I’m so grateful I have these words to remind me of where we’ve been, because sometimes you need to look back to appreciate just how far He’s brought you.

So here’s my little reminder today, for myself as much as anyone else. Whatever you’re praying for, whatever you’re walking through, God sees you. And while His answers may not always look the way we imagined, that doesn’t mean He isn’t working. Sometimes what He has planned is so much greater than what we even knew to ask for. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

A few weeks ago, I met someone here for lunch. We’d planned to get together, but I had no idea just how much would come from that conversation.

It was one of those meetings where everything just aligned. The conversation was easy, the ideas were flowing, and I walked away feeling so excited about what she’s built and the possibility of being part of it.

One of the things I’ve been intentional about with Tenfold is working with people and businesses that are doing good in the world. People who have a vision I believe in and where I know my experience and perspective can help them grow and make an even bigger impact.

And she was exactly that. I’m so excited that I’ll now have the opportunity to work alongside her through Tenfold! 🙏🏽

But there’s another part of this story that means just as much to me.

Before that lunch, someone close to me reminded me to walk into the room like I was sent there. To be humble, but confident, and remember what I bring to the table.
I carried those words with me that day.

Even with all my years of experience, building something of my own has brought moments of questioning myself. And sometimes it takes someone who believes in you to remind you of what you already know but need to hear again.

I’m so grateful for the people in my corner who do that for me.

So here’s my encouragement for you today, and one I’m reminding myself of too. Never forget what you bring to the table. Walk into the room with humility and confidence, and keep people around you who remind you of your worth when you need it most. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

A little fun fact about me…when I was a little girl, I dreamed of having my own line of greeting cards at Hallmark. 💛

I’ve always loved making cards and hand lettering, and this past weekend was just so fun! Watching people pick out my cards, hearing what they loved about them, and seeing them get excited about giving them to someone else made me so happy.

And then one lady said, “You should have your cards in Hallmark!” I had to laugh because she had no idea that was actually a dream of mine growing up!

I love that we can have so many different dreams in life. I have always been someone who loves trying new things, being creative, and seeing where an idea might go. Not everything has to turn into something big. Sometimes it’s just about doing something you love and enjoying the process.

But who knows…maybe that little girl will have her Hallmark moment someday! 🤗

So here’s my encouragement for you today: It’s okay to have more than one dream and go after all of them! As the saying goes, YOLO. 😉✨ by @thetenfoldway

I’ve been feeling a little stuck lately. I have so many things I want to do and ideas I’m excited about, but some days I find myself wondering if I’m doing any of it right.

I was talking to a friend about it, and he reminded me that this is just part of building something. Some days you feel really good about what you’re doing, and other days you feel like you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.

But that doesn’t mean you suddenly don’t know what you’re doing. And it definitely doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path.

I needed to hear that because it’s so easy to let a few hard days make you second-guess things you’ve spent so much time working toward.

So if anyone needs this reminder too: Don’t let a difficult day (or several days!) make you question a vision you’ve spent so much time believing in. You can have moments of doubt and still be doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing.

Keep going. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

Age ain’t nothing but a number! ✨

Yesterday I spent part of my day at a @nawbophx event surrounded by some incredible women and ended it singing my heart out to TLC, En Vogue, and Salt-N-Pepa at The Iconic Tour. And let me tell you, these ladies STILL got it!! Looking good and sounding good in their 50s and 60s! 🤯

I’ve been struggling a little lately with finding my voice online, getting caught up in comparison, and worrying too much about what people might think. So yesterday, seeing women at different ages and stages doing their thing, was a reminder I really needed. Sometimes we put more limits on ourselves than age ever could.

There’s no expiration date on doing what you love, trying something new, or going after what you want. So take the selfie, share your ideas, build the business, and do the things that make you happy. Life’s too short to spend it worrying about what everyone else thinks. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

Last night I got to be there while one of my best friends @themamalisa was honored with a Trailblazer Award for being exactly what she is - a woman with a vision who had the courage to build it.

@intentionalfoods started because her daughter has severe food allergies and Lisa realized there really wasn’t a safe place for her to eat. That’s actually how we met because I have kids with food allergies, too, so I’ve had the privilege of watching this from the very beginning…back when IF was just an idea and a dream.

Now it’s the only restaurant in the country that’s free of the top 9 allergens. They’ve won so many awards for what they do and how they serve the food allergy community.

But as her friend, this one hits different. Lisa is not someone who seeks the spotlight. If anything, she’s usually busy shining it on everyone else. She loves people so well, and she gives the best hugs!

So to be standing there with my ride or die and watch the spotlight shine so brightly on HER for once, I was filled with so much joy, and sheesh, I was proud!!!

We also met the most incredible women through @nawbophx - I left feeling so energized and uplifted…and grateful to be part of this amazing community of women business owners.

Being there last night was such an answered prayer. I’d been feeling so unsure about my voice, my place, and even my why with Tenfold.

But then I spent the night celebrating someone whose whole story started with a vision, and it was just the reminder that I needed.

You don’t always know how far the vision will go when you start. Sometimes you just have to trust that it matters, keep going, and give it the chance to become something bigger than you imagined. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

If you know me, you know I’m a diehard Arizona alum. I’ll always rep the U of A. ❤️💙

But for a long time, all I wanted to do was leave Tucson. I wanted something new, bigger…better.

Now when I come back, I appreciate Tucson in a completely different way. And I love pointing out all the different places and landmarks to my husband that hold so many memories and experiences!

There’s something really comforting about familiar.

But I also think familiar can keep us in things longer than we’re supposed to stay. It’s not that it’s bad. It’s that they just aren’t where we’re supposed to stay forever.

And I think that applies to so many things. A home. A job. A relationship. A business. Even a version of your life that used to fit and just doesn’t anymore.

I heard someone say once that God can’t put something new in your hands because you’re still holding too tightly to what you already have. And that stayed with me.

I think part of growth is being willing to loosen your grip a little and trust that moving on doesn’t erase what something meant to you. It just makes room for what’s next.

You can be grateful for something and still outgrow it. You can miss parts of it and still know you’re supposed to keep going.

When I look at my own life, so many of the best things happened because I was willing to move beyond what I already knew and be open to what else might be possible.

So I think the lesson for me is this:

Appreciate where you came from. Be grateful for what it gave you. But don’t hold on so tightly to what’s familiar that you miss what God may be trying to put in your hands next. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

Monthly breakfast with one of my favorite people 🤍

Just before leaving he told me how much I pour into him, and I just smiled because I don’t think he realizes how often he fills my cup, too.

What started as mentorship has turned into a friendship I really value. I get to watch him grow, encourage him, challenge him when he needs it, celebrate the wins, and also talk through the messy middle parts.

But encouragement in this instance is a two-way street.

I think one of the best things about relationships like this is realizing how much we can learn from people who are in completely different ages and stages of life than we are.

Experience has something to teach….but so does fresh perspective. And so does seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.

There’s a lot of joy in getting to believe in someone and watch them become more and more of who they’re meant to be.

And there’s something even sweeter about realizing that while you’re pouring into them, they’re bringing light, perspective, and goodness into your life, too.

Really grateful for this one. 🤍

Sometimes the people you’re meant to help grow end up growing something in you, too. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

It’s been three years since Cece’s brain surgery.

And it’s interesting because last night someone asked me how I do all the things I do, and my answer was basically this:

For seven years before her surgery, our world was really small.

So much of life revolved around seizures, hospitals, appointments, diagnoses, and waiting for the next thing to happen. Cece spent so much time in hospitals, and the rest of us learned to live around whatever was happening with her. We couldn’t always make plans. We couldn’t always go places. There was a lot of life we just didn’t have room for.

And during those years, I prayed so much for the kind of life we have now. 🙏🏽

I prayed for Cece to be home instead of in a hospital. For her to go to school. For her to have a life that was bigger than seizures and doctors and hospital rooms.

And I prayed for that for all of us too. To be able to make plans. To focus on our other kids and their interests. To work, travel, build things, show up for people, and have room for a life that wasn’t always centered around the next crisis.

So when people look at my life now and think it’s a lot, I don’t really see it that way.

I see the life I prayed for.

And yes, sometimes it IS a lot. 😂 But there’s a big difference between having to do something and getting to do it.

For a long time, our world had to be small. Now we get to fill it with school and sports and work and travel and plans and all the wonderfully normal things I used to pray for.

So maybe I do a lot. But I get to.

And three years later, I still know exactly what a miracle that is. ✨ by @thetenfoldway

Over the last week, I’ve had three conversations with potential clients where I’ve had to explain what I do and essentially make the case for why someone should work with me.

And let me tell you…that hits differently when the business is you.

When what you’re offering is your thinking, your experience, your relationships, your instincts and the way your brain works, there’s a vulnerability to it. It can feel a little like handing someone a piece of yourself and saying, I hope you see something valuable here.

And I think there’s a lot of bravery in that.

Not just in starting a business, but in putting something you care about in front of someone else and giving them the opportunity to say yes, no, not now, or maybe later.

I’m learning not to make every answer mean more than it does.

Not yet isn’t always no.
Not today doesn’t mean not tomorrow.
And sometimes the timing, budget, or need simply isn’t there yet.

That doesn’t make the offering less valuable. And it doesn’t mean you stop putting it out there.

I think we do this in so many areas of life without realizing it. We offer an idea, make an introduction, share something we created, tell someone how we feel, ask for an opportunity.

Every time, there’s a little bit of courage underneath it.

But really the brave part is continuing to put yourself out there without letting someone else’s timing become your measure of worth. What you bring doesn’t lose its value just because someone isn’t ready for it yet. ✨ by @thetenfoldway
