OFZ — Optimal Flavor Zone.

In this clip, Scott Deppe reflects on how an incorrectly timed hit led to the development of the first OFZ cap for the @mothership_glass Honey Bucket . The first time he capped it, he experienced the low-temperature “flavor explosion” that would go on to define the Optimal Flavor Zone.

As these innovations were evolving, our mission at TERPOMETER was to simplify the process making it easy to consistently find the Optimal Flavor Zone. #TERPHistory

Scott Deppe is an American contemporary artist and captain of @mothership_glass

After getting one of his first glass pieces at a Dead show in the early 90s, Scott became fascinated with the art form. With a natural instinct to reverse engineer and understand how things worked, he quickly became obsessed with learning the process for himself.

Over the past few decades, Scott has built a reputation within the glass scene as a true innovator. His precision-driven approach and attention to detail earned him the moniker “The Alien.” 👽

Many of the design philosophies and functional standards seen throughout today’s high end functional glass scene can be traced back to Scott’s influence and approach to the craft.

Scott is someone who clearly found his lane and dedicated his life to mastering it.

@mothership_glass has become one of the most respected and sought-after names in high-end American functional glass culture.
Led by Scott Deppe, Mothership has spent over a decade pushing the boundaries of design, craftsmanship, and innovation within the glass scene.

Many of the design philosophies and functional standards seen throughout today’s glass market were incubated within the walls of Mothership.

Both of our brands share a detail-oriented approach when it comes to refinement, precision, and creating the highest level tools possible. All in pursuit of elevating the overall experience through flavor, terpene preservation, and functionality.

We’re honored to continue our relationship with Scott and Mothership by officially kicking things off with a reissue of the coveted Mothership x TERPOMETER IR.

•This limited release will be available beginning Friday, May 22nd, with a lot more heat coming over the next few months. 👽🔥

•Let us know in the comments your favorite Mothership design or collab, and what you’d like to see from the two of us next🧪 by @theterpometer
