How it’s going… 🎓 vs… the Day it started… 😊
•
Years of sacrifice, late nights, earlier mornings, hours of research, faith, and persistence led to this moment.
•
Reflection 1… May 7, 2022.. the day I started my journey to Doctor. So many emotions.. Imposter syndrome at an all time high, but I knew I had God with me. I made sure to document every piece of this journey so that I could remind myself of how far I have come. The reality is that it doesn’t matter who doubts you, it doesn’t matter what other people say, what matters is what you believe about you and more importantly what God believes about you. This is what faith looks like and as I look back at this photo and now reflect on my graduation photos I hope this is a reminder to you to just let go and trust God. #thetestofawoman @thetestofawoman #viral #monday #instagood #blackgirlmagic by @thetestofawoman

Some journeys begin with a single page…
•
The Test of a Woman was never just about writing books, it was about creating space for healing, reflection, and faith. Every chapter reminds me that God can use our greatest tests to reveal His greatest purpose.
•
What chapter of your life are you walking through today? 💜☕📚

The Test of a Woman… is learning that prayer is not the last resort, it’s the first response.

There was a time when I thought my work was about creating programs for underrepresented youth, but now realize it’s about creating possibilities.

This week, I had the privilege of sharing the vision behind the Voices Across Borders, Empowering Future Scholars as Global Leaders virtual exchange initiative, with Rutgers Deans, senior leadership, faculty, colleagues, and educators. Standing at that podium reminded me that leadership is about building bridges, transformation, creating meaningful opportunities, and inspiring others to imagine what’s possible.

I’m especially excited to see this work reaching beyond our campus and being recognized internationally. The recent feature on our partnership with South African institutions is a reminder that when we lead with purpose, collaboration, and vision, our impact can travel farther than we ever imagined!!! Comment “article” and I’ll get you a copy!

The journey is just beginning. 🌍💙 My God does nothing small!!! 🙏🏽

Today can be your new beginning.
It doesn’t matter what yesterday looked like. Trust God, take the next step, and believe that He can make all things new. July isn’t over. Your story isn’t either. 💜

To God be all of the Glory!!!! Trusting God looked a little bit like this.. The devil tried it… But My God is greater!!!! Testimony loading… my God does nothing small! I graduated in 3.5 years (I planned for 5), a 4.0 gpa, and traveled abroad to the motherland (Africa) for my final course… There’s something powerful that happens when God gives you your purpose and reminds you that no matter what it looks like you will have the victory!!! Oh and my babies made the honor roll right along with their mommy every step of the way!!!! Signed, officially, Dr. Shareyna Nicole James 🎓#thetestofawoman @thetestofawoman by @thetestofawoman

Reflection 2.. Qualitative research taught me to listen differently. To understand that people’s stories are more than numbers, that lived experiences carry weight, and that sometimes the most powerful form of data is simply allowing people to speak their truth… unfiltered.
•
Our schools need US.
•
Research is care, community, and affirmation. And standing in that truth has been one of greatest honors of this journey. ❤️🖤🎓 Dr.J @thetestofawoman #thetestofawoman #viral #bookstagram #potd #fyp by @thetestofawoman
