Sobbing all the way to the till 😭Priceless doesn't always equal monetary value. Sometimes it is a little piece of someone's life from long ago. A once treasured possession that deserves a new life. Would it be criminal to let my cat keep the Jellycat kitten? He loves it! I learnt so much from the comments on my last reel. Was it worth 25p?I rarely bother to rummage through toy boxes like this but I was in the mood for finding small toys for my trinket shelves. I was very pleased to find the teddy and duck, perfect trinkets! But the cat caught my eye and it has a very familiar Jellycat look, don't you think? I thought I would risk it for 25p! She is now safely back with her mummy (my larger thrifted ceramic hen)This beauty came from a charity shop and it was an animal one @the_blue_cross Sometimes thrifting someones unwanted item and giving it a new home does feel like a rescue. Sewing hack for yaI am a firm believer in mending what we already have to help our clothing last as long as possible and reduce our consumption so I have a "to sew" basket and plan to regularly have a mending sessionI also can't resist damaged clothing in the charity shops and I am forever thrifting things that need a little tlc. That means my "to sew" basket can quickly get out of hand and then the procrastination kicks inI bought this top in a charity shop a while ago. It was only a couple pounds because of the tear in itToday I found the motivation to tackle it and a few other items. It was a good week for books!
