Breast milk is more than food — it’s comfort, protection, connection and nutrition all in one. 🤍

From supporting your baby’s growth and development to providing antibodies and essential nutrients, every feed is doing something incredible.

And a reminder for Mum too: stay hydrated, eat well, rest when you can and don’t be afraid to ask for support. You’re doing an amazing job. 🫶🏽

👶 Newborn stomach sizes are tiny — and grow faster than you’d think! 🍼🤎

From a tiny cherry on Day 1 🍒 to around the size of an egg by 1 month 🥚, your baby’s tummy changes so much in those first few weeks.

Save this little guide for those moments when you’re wondering, “Are they drinking enough?” 🤍

Remember: every baby is different, and feeding amounts are only a rough guide. Follow your baby’s hunger and fullness cues and speak to your midwife, health visitor or GP if you’re concerned.

👶 Understanding Your Baby’s Feeding Cues

Did you know that crying is actually a late hunger cue?

The easiest feeds often happen when you spot the early signs of hunger:

🤍 Stirring from sleep
🤍 Opening their mouth
🤍 Turning their head (rooting)

If these are missed, babies may become more active, stretch, or bring their hands to their mouth before eventually crying.

By the time your little one is crying, they’re telling you they’re really hungry. A few moments of cuddles, skin-to-skin, gentle talking or rocking can help calm them before offering a feed.

Learning your baby’s cues can make feeding feel calmer and less stressful—for both of you. ❤️

💬 Which feeding cue does your baby usually show first?

💛 Maternity leave isn’t a holiday… it’s one of the biggest adjustments you’ll ever make.

From the outside, people see coffee dates, baby classes and sweet cuddles.

What they don’t see is the healing, the sleepless nights, the mental load, the endless laundry, the tears, the self-doubt and the exhaustion.

To every parent navigating this season:
✨ You’re doing better than you think.
✨ Your baby doesn’t need perfection—they need you.
✨ Asking for help is strength, not weakness.

Be gentle with yourself. Some days surviving is succeeding. 🤍

Save this to remind yourself (or send it to a parent who needs to hear it today). 🌿

Wake windows can be such a helpful guide when figuring out why your baby might be fussy, fighting naps or becoming overtired 💤

Remember, every baby is different, so use these times as a starting point and watch for sleepy cues like yawning, rubbing their eyes, staring into the distance or becoming unsettled.

Save this for those “when should they nap?” moments 🤎

Small sound, better sleep 🤍

White noise can help create a calm, consistent environment by masking sudden household sounds and supporting your baby’s sleep routine—at home, during naps or while travelling.

Keep the volume low, place the machine at least 2 metres away from your baby’s sleep space, and see which sound works best for them. Every baby is different 🌙

Skin-to-skin isn’t just a cuddle — it’s one of the most powerful things you can do for your baby. 🤍

From regulating their temperature and heartbeat to reducing stress, supporting brain development and strengthening your bond, those quiet moments together have lifelong benefits.

Whether you’re mum or dad, every cuddle counts. Your baby doesn’t need perfection… they just need you.

✨ You are their safe place.

💤 Safe sleep isn’t about being perfect—it’s about making the safest choices, every single nap and every single night. 🤍

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
🤍 Back to sleep, every sleep.
🤍 A firm, flat mattress.
🤍 No pillows, blankets or toys.
🤍 Share a room, not a bed.
🤍 Keep baby’s sleep space smoke-free.

Those small decisions today help protect the moments you’ll treasure tomorrow.

Save this post for yourself or share it with someone expecting a little one. 🫶

One of the easiest things to forget after having a baby…is each other. 🤍

Yes, you’re Mum and Dad now—but you’re also still the couple who chose to build this little family together.

The sleepless nights, endless nappies and constant feeding can make it easy to slip into survival mode. But don’t forget to:
🤍 Hold hands.
🤍 Hug a little longer.
🤍 Check in with each other.
🤍 Laugh together.
🤍 Make time for your relationship, even if it’s just 10 minutes at the end of the day.

Your baby won’t remember whether the washing was folded or the dishes were done. But they’ll grow up watching how Mum and Dad loved, supported and respected one another.

A strong relationship creates a strong foundation for a happy family. ❤️

💚 Save this as a little reminder.

A little burp can make a big difference. 🤍

Burping isn’t just about getting a satisfying “burp”—it’s about helping your little one feel more comfortable after a feed. Trapped wind can lead to fussiness, discomfort and unsettled sleep, so taking a few extra minutes can make all the difference.

✨ Remember:
• Every baby is different.
• Some need burping during a feed, others only afterwards.
• If no burp comes, don’t panic—not every feed traps air.

Parenthood is full of learning moments, and we’re here to make them a little easier, one tip at a time. 💛

How much milk does your baby actually need? 🍼🤍

One of the questions new parents ask most is “Am I feeding enough?” The truth is, every baby is different—but having a rough guide can make those early weeks feel a little less overwhelming.

✨ Remember:
• Feed your baby, not the clock.
• Watch for hunger and fullness cues.
• Growth spurts can mean they suddenly want more—and that’s completely normal.
• If you’re ever unsure, your midwife, health visitor or GP is always there to help.

Save this post for those sleep-deprived moments when your brain needs a little reminder. 💛
