Despite looking like a car accident, this pesto fried egg turned out delicious 🤌 Frying the egg in pesto made this nice lacy edges that added a subtle cronch.

I call this one “The Mom From Signs”

I thought he was trolling me when he said Sriracha on peanut butter toast was a thing. He still might be trolling me, but I think it’s delicious! Has this Thai peanut sauce kinda vibe. I call this The Tamoor Hussain.

I’ve been following a few accounts that do Trader Joe’s-only recipes. This one is using the frozen scallion pancakes and their weird stringy avocados.

Been a long break since my last poast. Had to focus on a few other creative projects for a bit. But did you know that the misspelled #zuchinni is used 3x more than #zuchini? Also it’s actually spelled zucchini. I’m a dang fool 🤦🏻‍♂️I call this one “Gad Zookz”

I have a book called “East Bay Cooks” that shares a bunch of recipes from the East Bay Area by San Francisco. This was one of them from @sabiopleasanton

I subbed the baguettes with regular sourdough and the quail eggs with regular eggs. And instead of hot sauce I added li’l tomatoes for color. I call this one “Hide the Chorizo”

- avocado
- chorizo
- egg
- li’l tomatoes for color (but you can dab with sriracha)
- micro greens

I call this “It’s not burnt, it’s power”.

I saw this recipe from @testkitchen and it came out…um…wet... I mean they emphasized using a wetter tomato, but this is WHET. A Catalonian(?) toast called “Pa Amb Tomáquet”. My subs were sourdough for Catalonian ciabatta-esque bread and confit garlic smashed in instead of rubbing raw garlic on the toasted bread. I also grilled the bread using the olive oil from my confit.

**Update** Commenter commented it’s just “Catalan”. I will keep my shame and embarrassment as written above. 🙏

It was actually really tasty for being 3 basic ingredients 🤌

Did you know tomatoes taste more tomatoey at room temperature? Don’t put ‘em in the fridge!

I finally got around to playing that indie game Hades—a 15-min game that i’ve played for 14 hours now 🫣 I call this one “The Zagreus”. 🤌

REPORTS OF MARMITE BEING GROSS HAVE BEEN GREATLY EXAGGERATED.

It’s good! But I mean the trick is to spread it on and then scrape it off like there’s poop on your toast. That is the perfect amount of marmite. It tastes somewhere between miso and soy sauce. Actually surprisingly similar to that mirin marinated yolk toast I made a while back.

This one is recommended, and therefore named after one of the coolest people to follow this account. I call this the “ @lucyjamesgames “

There used to be this great K-pop bar in San Francisco called Upper Playground. I have fond memories of post-breakup soju sessions with my friends. But most importantly, they had cheesy corn! Most Korean bars serve cheesy corn, but there was something about theirs that was 🤌

I call this one “Upper Playground”

In a bowl combine:
- #butter
- #mozzerellacheese
- #choppedgarlic
- #corn

Toast bread, top with corn stuff and then finish in the toaster oven to melt cheese. Top with green onion.

There is a subreddit I frequent called r/stupidfood. This one is a straight up food crime. I’m putting myself in IG recipe jail for this one. Not gonna share who I got the recipe from, because I don’t want them to go to the ER for poor taste like I did. It tasted like a person made this toast mistaking a roughly translated geology textbook for a recipe. It tasted like how Crocs look. It tasted like the first 30 minutes of Elden Ring. This toast lowered my credit score.

I call this one “Squidward’s Toes”.
