My Top 10 Films of 2023 That Were Based on Real Events

While creativity in Hollywood has been on the stale side for a while, there continues to be a steady stream of excellent biopics to enjoy.

Thought ‘Napoleon’ and ‘Ferrari’ would be on here for sure, but alas the two masters swung and missed with those.

Did you enjoy any of these historical helpings? Which ones did I not see that should have been on the list? Drop a comment below!

My Top 10 Doses of the DCEU

In (dis?)honour of the 10-year saga concluding with this weekend’s release of “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”.

Mixed bag and wasted opportunity are two thoughts that come to mind with this franchise. The actors playing DC’s iconic heroes were, for the most part, cast about as impeccably as one could hope for. From studio inference to the Joss-tice League, limp sequels to inconsistent visions, however, the DCEU never fully realized its potential. For me, the closest we got to seeing it at its best was “The Snydercut”. Now that the franchise is being rebooted, all that’s left is to recognize the few gems we got, and conduct a detailed postmortem 🤣

What say you? Which, if any, chapters were you a fan of? Any not on this list that deserve to be higher up? Drop a comment below!
