Mildly vulnerable post ahead.

One of my favorite things to ask other vendors during dinner break on a wedding day is, “do you still get nervous before a wedding?”

90% of the time, the answer is “absolutely.”

Going into a new venue with a couple you’ve maybe only met via video call with new family dynamics and new wants and needs is nerve wracking, no matter how many weddings I’ve shot.

What will the lighting be? Will we stick to the timeline? Where will my gear go? Which guest is going to give me attitude or hit on me this time?

The morning before a wedding, I’m a big ball of nerves. I go through timelines dozens of times visualizing every moment. I come up with backup plans in case I don’t have time for something or it rains. I make notes of family tension, must-have photos, and anything the couple has mentioned previously.

Once I’m in the car, I crank podcasts to distract myself. My stomach is usually in knots until the moment I step foot into the venue.

Then it’s go time.

We transformed The Ivy at Ellis Preserve into a rich, intimate setting for A+I’s celebration surrounded by family and friends. Deep green tones carried throughout the design, from velvet draping and the custom dance floor to the layered florals and greenery.

Meet Tabitha, our new floral linen for the season.

This is one of our favorite new linens we launched this season (and not just because it’s named after our social media manager’s wife). It made its debut at @phillyweddingwalk at @lilahevents, and it has been one of our top patterns ever since.

The large scale abstract blooms are perfect for garden weddings, spring soirées, and summer events. We love seeing this paired with our Belfast Celadon and Yarrow Spring. This soft sage green works great with so many palettes and it is a fun pop of a pattern that goes with most floral designs.

if you love pinks + reds, this one is for you 💞

we’re loving this grand caterpillar table design with draped pink linens that dramatically waterfalls at one end, completed with flowing red roses & a bow 🎀

on top of the tables, it’s a red love bomb of florals, fruits + veggies, lamps, and candles on silver chrome candelabras - complimented with pink + white dinnerware and deep red menus with a lasercut pocket reminiscent of lace

clear chairs to elevate the design without taking away from the bold colors, but of course the bride & groom has luxurious red velvet chairs for their own “sweetheart” section of the table ❣️

not to mention you’d be dining on a beautiful checkered floor, right underneath the stars in a space rightfully named the Foyer Under The Stars at One North Broad ❤️
