Inspiration Alert: I want you to tell EVERYONE about your toy brand. Yes, it can be scary to share your creative business ideas with your friends, family, and a bunch of strangers online. You might be worried that everyone will make fun of your idea...or worse...that no one will react at all. But the truth of the matter is, the more hype that YOU build around your toy brand, the more you will inspire others to do rally around you. Take a lesson from the kid entrepreneurs I featured on NBC's Access Daily yesterday with @kithoover and @mariolopez. These are the three paths of making a toy or game in the toy industry. Path 1: Inventing ➡️ The least financial risk to develop and launch your product but also the least creative control. Path 2: Own Brand ➡️ The biggest financial risk but you maintain full creative control and the highest margin on revenue. A former student of mine pitched me one of these ideas with an incredible working prototype...but another company BEAT HIM TO RELEASING IT. I was devastated. 2. One of these ideas was invented by a popular toy invention studio. 3. One of these toys just got acquired by a MAJOR toy company. Yahoo valued the deal upwards of $35 million.
