My favorite hike this year in the Northern Alps of Japan 🏔️ Mt. Norikura - around 2,500 m

An amazing start of the summer with great company ~
We must’ve looked crazy pulling up to the function with the least amount of outdoor attire & gear — inevitably being questioned by a handful of concerned park rangers and curious fellow hikers. Jokes on them we were sooo speedy on the trail. Ok it’s not about the look, it’s about the vibes 😇

Lake, alpine river, forest, prairies, mountains, shooting stars, — all of nature’s treats 🌾✨
Bonus for Janne’s birthday, country roads, and a never-ending supply of pasta. 🍝 🎆

Sharing the rest of my Guate rolls 🎞️🇬🇹
First half were from wandering the different towns of Lake Atitlán. Each village offered its own beauty and charm. I feel so grateful to have been here & learned about the Tz’utujil and Kaqchikel people and the Mayan culture.

Drastic change has been a huge theme throughout my life — my family and I moved across countries. Now, I’m choosing to live in a new land on my own, and I’m relearning how to step into the unknowns with curiosity, as I believe that’s where the magic happens.

Sunrise hike on Volcán Acatenango🌥️🌋 - 3,976m
“Eso si es otra onda” 🌀
This adventure was my WHY to Guatemala! 💫

My heart is filled with much gratitude — for this beautiful country, planet and for my body, which continues to carry me to places like this 🤍

This hike from start to finish is not for the faint-hearted, but every step and even the altitude sickness in the morning were worth it 😵‍💫 With our base camp at 3,750 m and the summit at 3,976 m, we were literally in and above the clouds! ☁️
Hearing and seeing the eruptions of Volcán Fuego through the night was nothing short of otherworldly! We practically howled screaming “lava!!!” every moment we got, wanting everyone to share the excitement too🌋🌌

Thankful for the wonderful people we met on this journey & even more for our local tour @vhiking.tours who guided us and took amazing care of our group! 🫶🏽
