In the Congo Basin, in my mother’s lineage, the language is tonal, and the two-tone slit drums (“telephone drum ») express human pitch. They allowed clans and families to communicate over distances with enhanced poetry.
Here I hold the Udu, a West African drum.
African drums are the voice of ancestors who continue to create space for us all today. I feel it truly is a universal tool of evolution.
Percussions unite us.

Harmony Openness,
Francoise

« Being close to the ground or held in a pose, slows down time and expands your space; nesting you deeper within, regulating breath and mind flow.

A daily shift. A daily practice that creates its own environment.
