I wanted to play with my new Distress embossing glaze and translucent texture paste, so I decided to create a page directly in my journal for autumn. Because the base (the front of an envelope) is so dark and the paste is translucent, I probably should have used a darker color of embossing powder to get my desired effect. However, I’m still happy with the end result. The quote was typed on my 1952 Royal HH manual typewriter. #junkjournaling #journalwithme #mixedmedia #collageart by @thetrilliumcreative

Pack an order with me! This customer ordered the matte magenta large ink blender and matching extra caps. Such a fun bright color! #junkjournaltool #shopsmall #handmadebusiness #papercrafting #junkjournalsupplies by @thetrilliumcreative

Finishing my entomology file index book! I used scrapbook paper for the front and back covers and a sari silk bow for the closure. This was a fun and challenging project as the book structure is different than anything else I’ve made.

Hi! My name is Leah. I am a junk journaler, paper crafter, and mixed media artist. Playing with different types of paper has been a life-long passion. Repurposing old, worn and forgotten books into something new that I can create in is one of my greatest joys in the last several years!

I share creative ways to reuse junk mail and book pages to create something beautiful and easy journal making ideas that will hopefully inspire you to create yourself. I’d love for you to join me in this journey!

Make a quick and easy hidden writing spot in your journal using a junk mail envelope and a book page! I chose to have mine double as a pocket too!
