POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
This app carries everything my late dad stood for.
Born on the 14th of September, the reason I post at 9am every day, Olorunfemi Durodola Lawrence, it is dedicated to you.

He believed in never leaving anything the way you met it.
To him, growth wasn’t optional, it was a responsibility.

Every system, every idea, every organization you are part of should be better because you were there.

That mindset shaped how I see design.
Not just creating, but improving, iterating, refining.

Taking what exists and pushing it further than it has ever been.

This app is more than a product, it is built on his philosophy, make it better.
I will be taking a short break from posting apps next month, but I am still open to collaborating, whether you are starting something new or looking to improve an existing product.
When I return, I will also be sharing the design thinking behind my work.
And the next phase, it is going to be on a different level.

To my evergreen, Olorunfemi Durodola Lawrence
 You live forever.

The iteration is done on a skincare brand ( This could apply to any luxury skincare brand , but i used Clarins & Trio Reuke ) as an example

I did not use their brand colors to avoid copyright issues

These are a few pages , the rest would be uploaded on the 29th of April , hopefully two designs would be uploaded ( For skincare and also a fragrance brand ) Both Desktop( Fragrance ) and skincare brand ( Mobile App Version )

My goal for this particular project ( the skincare brand ) was to simplify and enhance user experience

Majorly i used the Hicks Law of design and Law of simplicity (Gestalt Principle)

Hicks law of design states that
States that the time it takes to make a decision increases with the number and complexity of choices. To simplify, designers reduce choices, break complex tasks into smaller steps, and use progressive disclosure to avoid overwhelming users.

Law of simplicity (Gestalt Principle) states that :
In Gestalt psychology, this principle explains that the human mind naturally organizes complex visual inputs into simpler, orderly shapes to reduce cognitive load

Lets stay in the position of a first time user of the app or was even recommended by someone to another

She gets to the app, she can simply complete her task in the most simple way ( picking the right products) by filtering down through her skin type , her age and her skin concerns ( most valuable decision)

This is just more like speaking to a beauty advisor at the store , this is the most efficient way to either motivate first time users and retain existing users

I really had a great time working on this by @theui.uxmuse

The Perfume App- Jemima

JEMIMA APP

The thinking behind Jemima

I’ve just finished work on this app, and at its core, it’s built around one thing
User Experience

I’ve always been interested in how people interact with mobile and web apps
Not just what they do, but how they feel while using them

And I noticed something

A lot of people struggle to choose the right fragrance
Not because they don’t want to smell good
But because they don’t know what truly suits them

So I asked a simple question
What if we made that decision easier

Jemima helps you discover perfumes based on who you are

You can explore fragrances by personality
Or go deeper by selecting olfactory preferences
Top notes, middle notes, and base notes

Whichever path resonates more with you

It’s not just about picking a perfume
It’s about finding one that feels like you

We’ve simplified the process
And made fragrance discovery more personal

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments by @theui.uxmuse

One of the very things I do in my spare time turned out to be useful for me in my career path which is (Ecommerce Management, Branding & Marketing )

I happened to have gotten a certification in UI/UX cos I needed it in my main career which is Ecommerce, branding and marketing

Designing interfaces and experiences through apps and websites turns out to be a very great experience

This is just a rough work done in few hours, the main project will be out hopefully next week 😊

So it means UI/UX Design is not my main career , but happens to be useful in my career path.

This happens to be a rough prototype of an homepage designed in few hours
I just personally think people should have the option of picking fragrances through their personalities, gender and collections.

I would say it is almost like a freestyle when it comes to designing apps and websites .

So would you rather pick your next fragrance by personality , gender or collections

What is your reason behind your present fragrance ?
