Artist Spotlight: @lauraleigh_paints

Where control ends, Laura Leigh’s work begins. Working with alcohol ink, she embraces the unpredictable, letting color, movement, and instinct guide the image into being. Somewhere between abstraction and realism, portraits and forms begin to emerge, as if they were hiding there all along.

Every week, we go through every submission ourselves and handpick the artists we spotlight. Follow @theunapparent so you don’t miss the next call-out.

Never stop creating.

We’re growing the team, and there’s no better place to look than our own Unapparent community.
We have two intern spots open:
Social media intern. You’ll help plan and create posts, write captions, and keep our feed and stories moving. Good fit if you have an eye for design and like making things people stop scrolling for.
Artist discovery intern. You’ll search for emerging artists and poets, go through submissions, and help us decide who to feature. Good fit if you’re always finding work before everyone else does.
If either one sounds like you, DM us here and tell us which role and a little about yourself.

Artist Spotlight: @cardillo.artt

Celine Cardillo creates from the places where feeling becomes difficult to name. Her work moves through emotion, memory, and the quiet complexities of being human, allowing color and form to speak where words often fall short. Her expression carries vulnerability, but also movement, a sense that each piece doesn’t simply capture a feeling, but finds its way through it.

Every week, we go through every submission ourselves and handpick the artists we spotlight. Follow @theunapparent so you don’t miss the next call-out.

Never stop creating.

Artist Spotlight: Sam Martin

Los Angeles painter Sam Martin (@regenerated_art _art) turns the human face into a landscape of transformation. Blending surrealism, abstraction, and natural elements, his work moves through identity, faith, and darkness toward the possibility of becoming something new. Each piece feels caught mid-change, somewhere between who we are and who we’re becoming.

See more of his work at regeneratedart.com.

Have you read our newest issue, Into the Looking Glass?

As the light shortens and the season turns strange, this issue feels right at home: uncanny, haunting, and a little unsettling in all the right ways.

It features work from Aidamaris Roman, Heribert Schacherl, Ornélie, N20 & Manda Lane, Gordon Studio Glass Blowers, Sofia Ruiz, and more.

Grab your copy through the link in bio.

In a world of AI slop, we choose to highlight REAL emerging artists. Comment “F*CK AI” for the link to our latest issue, “into the looking glass”💯.
