i got through my first ever funeral.. my heart is so heavy & broken having to have put you under the ground 5 days ago 💔 i knew this day would come but i thought It would be where we get to surround you as you say goodbye and actually ready to leave, not by a doctor being NEGLIGENT and killing you to make you leave us so suddenly with NO WARNING. i never had to bury someone before.. this still doesn’t even feel like closure. i only got to get 22 years with you and it just doesn’t seem like enough time. you helped raised me for a long time… you were the only grandparent i ever knew or was ever close to.. now i have none at all. before you left, i got to make you the PROUDEST of me you’ve ever been before by graduating college, and I promise to keep making you that proud from now on. you were the perfect example of God’s child—everyone should take notes from my grandma. so forgiving, a true prayer warrior from sun up to sun down, so generous, so caring, so teaching and kind. my favorite person on earth… grandma i love and miss you so much. i still have so much to say, i could write a 10 page essay but let me not 🤍 rest in heavenly peace my nigerian queen and im still screaming happy birthday to you 🇳🇬🫶🏾 #333 taken in R.I.P by @thevanessakay

4 years, 2 degrees, and a lifetime of memories… 🎓

Degreed! — Summa Cum Laude and I just want to thank you Lord 🙏🏾 Thank you to my family, especially my mother, and thank you to all my friends that I made during these four years for these memories.

On May 5th, I walked across the stage and obtained my bachelors degree with a 4.13 GPA. These four years have been hectic, but I endured it— making the most out of my four years. I started at Savannah State University for my first two years, and I loved every experience my HBCU gave me— Even the things I took for granted, because I took a lot for granted there. From the drunk nights, to the parties, to the social fun to making straight A’s still, I received my associates degree from there to be a Savannah State alum forever, and a valid HBCU graduate. I transferred in the midst of a global pandemic to Georgia State University. I can honestly say from a school that had so many resources, though costly, I made the most of my experience. From there, I learned so much more about myself and evolved into a more confident, comfortable, social, involved, and active individual.

✅ Bachelors Degree from Georgia State University
