โœจ Concentric ripples spread across a cast-glass disc, capturing the movement of water in a composition where light, reflection, and refraction create a sense of constant motion. #Ripple by AL_A with Afaconsult, created with @yalosmurano and master glassmaker Diego Ferro, is shaped by a circular glass disc crossed by two curved elements in opposing directions, gently interrupting its geometry to form a cross-like structure. As light moves across the surface, reflections and refractions bring the glass to life, evoking the fluidity of water within an entirely still form. โœจ Nineteen overlapping glass panels come together to form a luminous composition of open hands, their colours layered and fused at high temperature, allowing light to filter through the glass. #HandUnderHand by @arthurwatsoniduff, created with @nicolamorettimurano and @stefanobullo.v.a.murano, transforms the hand from a tool of craftsmanship into a trace of light. Repeated along the structure, each hand becomes a symbol of the transmission of knowledge and artisanal skill, paying tribute to Muranoโ€™s glassmaking heritage and to the generations who continue to preserve and reinterpret it. Thanks to the partnership with @generalitalia, the HUB was hosted for the first time at Palazzo Morosini, in Campo Santo Stefano. Once again this year, ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ฝ๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’„๐’† ๐‘ฎ๐’๐’‚๐’”๐’” ๐‘พ๐’†๐’†๐’Œ ๐‡๐”๐ ๐”๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“, curated by Stefano Coletto with Marta Gradenigo and dedicated to young emerging international artists, was staged at Fondazione @bevilacqualamasaโ€™s Gallery in St Markโ€™s Square, in the heart of Venice. YOUNG GLASS 27 is now open for applications. The international competition is organised by @glasdk Glas โ€“ Museum of Glass Art, directed by ๐Œ๐ข๐ค๐ค๐ž๐ฅ ๐‡๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ , member of the Curatorial Committee of The Venice Glass Week. Dedicated to artists under the age of 35, YOUNG GLASS was launched in 1987 and is held every ten years to support emerging talent and promote experimentation and innovation in contemporary glass. For its fifth edition, taking place in 2027, the competition will place a special focus on artistic explorations of sustainability and craftsmanship. The works presented in the exhibition will be selected by an international jury, with cash prizes and artist residencies awarded to the winners.
