The 2023 Sleeping Lady Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon by Sire Estate Wines will be my top pick to pop tonight. The Sleeping Lady Vineyard had been a long time favorite with its plush red and black fruit notes. Lush on the palate, velvet texture, and a kiss of oak on the finish is what makes this wine a personal favorite.

Once in a Blue Moon…

Let’s just say once in a blue moon, all four of the Mondavi Sisters are able to gather and raise a glass in gratitude. The night was perfect to enjoy wines from the vault, including the inaugural vintage of the 2005 Dark Matter Zinfandel (exquisite!)

As the Adopted 5th Mondavi Sister, I could not be more proud of what these four sisters have achieved and honored to represent them.

Planning fall events, sharing exceptional wines, and connecting with Mondavi Sisters Collection members around the country has been such a joy lately. 🍷✨

One of the greatest privileges of being The Vine Bard is getting to share the stories behind the Mondavi Sisters, a fourth generation Napa Valley legacy shaped by family, craftsmanship, hospitality, and generations of gathering around the table together. There’s a warmth and sense of tradition woven into every bottle that feels both timeless and deeply personal… a beautiful blend of Napa Valley soul and effortless Italian spirit, as well as impeccable wines.

I love creating experiences where people can slow down, connect, and raise a glass together, bringing a little taste of wine country beyond the vineyard and into communities across the country.

2018 Sire Cabernet from Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill shows exactly why this site is so coveted. Grown in iron-rich volcanic soils above the fog line, it delivers incredible depth with ripe blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry layered with cocoa, espresso, and a hint of violet. The texture is seamless and silky, with polished tannins and a long, mineral-laced finish. Powerful yet refined, it’s a stunning expression of both the vineyard and the vintage. This wine is incredible…

Somewhere along the way, I became The Vine Bard and the more I lean into it, the more it feels like something I was always meant to do.

Historically, a bard was a storyteller, a keeper of history, a voice for the people and places that shaped a culture. That’s what this journey has become for me. Not just sharing wine, but sharing the stories behind it, the families, the grit, the legacy, and the land that make places like Napa Valley so special.

Working alongside brands with such deep roots and hardworking people has brought me more joy than I can fully put into words. Every bottle carries something more than what’s in the glass, it carries history, intention, and heart. Being trusted to help tell those stories is something I don’t take lightly.

I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships I’ve built and the clients who have welcomed me into their world. You’ve allowed me to step into this role with authenticity, and that means everything.

And as I continue growing as The Vine Bard, I’m excited for the stories still waiting to be told, more connections, and sharing wines that are liquid history.

2025…how do you summarize a year that brought so much? A year that was filled with best meals, bestest of friends, new friendships, revived friendships, perfect moments with the ones you love most. Scenic places, mountains, deserts and the road less traveled…some even frightening. Fan girl moments, inspirational events, self discovery and best of all, having my person by my side no matter where I was. 40 for 40 was a magical experience for me, and although it took 14 months instead of 12, I’m beyond grateful for this journey. Cheers to 2026! by @thevinebard
