Just wanted to let you know that some things are finally brewing again, and there might be some exciting news fairly soon!

Also, if you're a drummer who wants to play dark punkish heavy metal from the deepest bowels of hell - now is the time to get in touch!

'Fog Weaver' has now been out for a few weeks, and I want to thank everyone for the great response!

I've made time-synced lyrics available on Spotify and Instagram. Hopefully I'll get around to other platforms soon as well.

It has racked up a couple thousand plays on streaming sites so far, which is very nice, but it's clear to see the difference in numbers when not on a label! But such shallow things will not stop the forces of darkness :)

While 'Fog Weaver' has carved a more heavier path for our sound, we have not forgotten our hardcore punk ways. The new album will feature a song in a very circlepit-friendly tempo.

For those interested in such speeds, I have compiled a playlist of all of our faster songs, from the introductory 'By Blood Be Birthed' to 'Sunslayer' from our debut album.

Check out the playlist on our Spotify profile right now. by @theviolentdeath

Enjoy a few BTS shots of the day we torched the big, burning inverted cross I posted last week!

Big Thanks to @endhumanity666 for helping out with his somehow extensive knowledge of setting fire to crosses.

Like most songs, inspiration is drawn from all over the place, not just musical. But if I were to consider the musical blueprint for 'Fog Weaver', it can trace its lineage directly to these specific records/bands.

The intro devolves into a pounding downbeat of guitar heaviness for the verse, that I just knew had to have a Ghost-like melody floating on top of it. You might not notice it straight away, but maybe now that you know, I think it could become quite apparent.

It was hard not to get swept up by the sounds of Iotunn's mammoth 'Kinship' album, with its extremely atmospheric - almost entrancing - passages of layer upon layer of guitars parts. I wanted to include something like that, where you can kind of close your eyes and get lost in the hidden melodies, and therapeutic repetitiveness.

The Night Eternal was a band I discovered in 2024, and it's probably the band that has had the biggest impact on not just the sounding of the album as a whole, but a change in riffing and tone. I didn't listen to almost anything else for half a year, and on this song they just seep through everything from the production, to the pre-choruses, and little things in-between segments.

And in regards to 'Danzig III', well... it's Danzig 😉

Thanks for reading.

'Fog Weaver' is out!

Listen to it. Share it. Save it to your moody/gothic/evil/workout playlists. All that jazz!
Let me know what you think if it in the comments below!

Thanks to everyone who participated on this record in one way or another - Thor Birgisson, Filip Hartmann & Kenneth Frandsen. Special thanks to Nicklas Sonne for his productions skills, a killer guitar solo, and unwavering, endless support to this project, we've been going at for almost 7 years together now.

The album itself has yet to be formally announced, but all in due time. Artwork is being drawn as we speak, and I'll figure out the vinyl pressing at some point. Next crucial task is to gather new, fellow musicians who will take this next leap into pitch black darkness with me. Get in touch, if you think that's you.

The new song 'Fog Weaver' releases tomorrow!
Listen here for the buildup to the final chorus, coming right after a headspinning guitar solo graciously recorded by Nicklas Sonne, featuring all of his hallmark playing; captivating melodies turning into lightning-fast shredding, played almost effortlessly and clean as hell. But you'll have to wait for tomorrow to hear that! 😉

Greetings, fiends, ghouls, & ghosts!
I've decided it's time for you to hear one of the new songs!
This one is profoundly different than anything I've previously done, but it serves as a nice appetizer for the overall darker tone of the upcoming album.

It is a song of trance-like, ethereal verses, crushing heavy guitars droning on and on, pounding drums, a blistering guitar solo, and a huge-sounding ending that echoes the eternity of immortal life.

As with several songs on the coming album, it deals with the mysticism of night and shadows; what monstrosities live and feed off the darkness, consumed by the dreadful eternity. We find the listener captivated by these mysteries, drawn in to its horrific potential. Only to discover the fateful reality of a being neither living nor dead, forever.

The song releases in exactly one week, and I will talk more about it in the coming days, but for now enjoy the awesome artwork for the single, once again by All Things Rotten.

A boy and his records.

How are we liking these new Danzig re-releases so far?

There's no doubt that Danzig is the most supreme influence on the music in this project, from Misfits to Samhain (obviously) to the name-sake band. And his influence on heavy music in general cannot be overstated.

Can't say the same about his film career, though. taken in Copenhagen by @theviolentdeath

Moments before death came ripping!
Misfits/Samhain cover show in Germany last year.

I know I've been quiet for a while, but lots of thoughts about the band's present and future is an ever evolving and constantly back-peddling stream of indecisiveness!
Despite this, things are moving forward, if but slowly. Album 2 is coming, for sure! I have been waiting for a long time for some things to resolve before moving on, but now I can hope to have the first single out some time in Spring.

I'll try to keep the pages more updated.

My good friend Rune Rådden helped me out on the bass for our gig in Germany last year, and now it's time to repay the favor!

Rune's old horror punk band, The Rotten Leprechauns, is literally coming back from the dead, with an amazing, freshly recorded album of old tunes that was never recorded back then, now finally coming out. It sounds fantastic and everything is KILLER. From the production to the speed, etc. Vicious stuff!

I have the honor of helping out on guitar for a few shows, starting with one of the release shows, incidently very close to my hometown, and held at a place I hold very dear indeed.

The record is out in May. Check it out, if you're into fast horror punk!
