happy saturday! 🫶🏽✨ I have a full day at the salon & get to create something witchyyy

speaking of witchy, I've seen mixed reviews about The Witch by Freida McFadden but I really liked it! her books are extremely entertaining & quick reads - so as long as she writes them, i'm gonna read them

I also just finished The House Across The Lake by Riley Sager - this is only my second of his books & I really love his writing style/creativity. but this one... WTF 😳

reviews will be coming soon

I've heard great things about The Mad Wife & i'm so excited to read! whenever I find book scores at tjmaxx, I have to grab them...
(so sorry to my fiance 😛)

🏆 my trophy books 🏆

I read these on kindle unlimited & they both surprised me at how much I loved them. so much so, that I knew I eventually needed to have them on my shelf - but couldn't justify spending full price...

LUCKY for me, I found The Last Letter at tjmaxx & The Wedding People in a moms group on facebook 🤩

💬 what trophies are on your shelf?

Everything's Not Lost by @fredtjoseph
genre: YA fiction
pub. date: 10/20/26
pages: 383 (kindle)

rating: ✰✰✰✰

review: this is a heavy read - it touches on loss/grief & mental health. however, it's beautiful & transformative. it reminds you that you're never alone, you're unique & important. I wish there were more stories like this that embody representation in many forms when I was a teen! there is a lot in this story that I think we can all relate to, feeling lost, misunderstood, confused. overall, this was a very beautiful story that unfolded & I would definitely recommend- especially to young adults navigating the chaos of the world.

thank you @netgalley for this gifted advance reader copy! 🤍

new & improved book reviews! 📓

reviews don't tend to do "well" on booksta but that seems silly since the whole point is to talk about books

so, I decided to start doing a review collection since I read so much & can't keep up!

✨ The Witch by @fmcfaddenauthor (5 stars)
✨ Drowning in Paper Flowers by @e.l._westbury (5 stars)
✨ The Bright Years by @sarahdamoff (5 stars)
✨ They Say a Girl Died Here by @sarahpinboroughbooks (4.5 stars)

I highly recommend all of these if you're looking for a book to keep you hooked & emotionally invested 🤩
