Some things to do in Marrakech:

1. Explore Jardin Majorelle: Book tickets in advance, go early and opt for the combined entry with Musée Pierre Bergé for a richer understanding of Berber art and culture.

2. Discover Medersa Ben Youssef: Immerse yourself in the stunning architecture of this ancient Quranic school.

3. Unwind at Jardin Secret: Escape to an oasis in the heart of the Medina, savor tea on the rooftop terrace, and learn more about the interesting history of the place.

4. Go to the Souks: Explore Marrakech's vibrant markets; remember to negociate!

5. Try Local Cuisine: Moroccan specialties like Msemmen with "amlou," Tajines, Pastillas, couscous, and pastries. If you can, try a cooking class, it’s a nice way to understand a new culture and spend a nice moment with a local and other visitors.

Essaouira is a port city in the western Moroccan region, on the Atlantic coast.

If you are travelling to Marrakech, we highly recommend to visit Essaouira as well for one or two days. It is a much quieter city with beautiful views on the Atlantic and perfect for long walks on the beach 😍

Essaouira is 3 hours drive to Marrakech, you can go there by bus, rented car, or private transfer.

To end up the day perfectly we recommend watching the beautiful sunset from the remparts or from a rooftop bar like at ‘Salut Maroc’.

After a long time without posting 😁

Our last stop was during our road trip was in the Algarve. The most visited region in Portugal and the best spot to enjoy a few days at the beach.

It has the most beautiful beaches, magnificent cliff scenery and fantastic grottoes.

We stayed in Lagos, a little city that is very lively in the evening with many bars, restaurants and small shops.

A very nice spot with a view: Ponta da Piedade

We come to the end of this amazing road trip! Portugal is such a beautiful country, we will go back for sure.🫶🏼

P.S.: Even in summer, the water is only 19 degrees 🥶

Next stop: Òbidos

Portugal is such a beautiful country, in each part you can discover new landscapes and architecture.

The medieval town of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal. It’s situated in the center region of Portugal, around 130 km from Coimbra. 
The town is known for its wonderful castle and walled city that immerse you in a medieval environment.

Throughout the walled city, you can find narrow streets, with traditional houses all around, some being living houses and others being restaurants or touristic shops.

It’s a very cute village worth the visit if you are going to the south from the north, but try coming during low season or after 3/4pm as many tour buses are coming with many people to visit the city.

It’s quite small so you can easily visit in 2-3 hours time. You can also check out the many festivals happening in Òbidos if you want your visit even more interesting.

Next stop: Coimbra

It’s a beautiful historic town that hold the oldest university of Portugal and was for a long time the capital of this country. It’s less touristy so here you can enjoy the visit in peace and it has this authentic feeling.

We loved visiting the small old streets, the UNESCO World heritage university, the famous “biblioteca Joanina” and the botanical garden. We also really enjoyed the views on the Mondego river and this student city feeling. In the evening we went to a little bar in the old town and had an amazing Fado concert that we will remember.

It’s definitely worth visiting if you are staying more than a few days in Portugal! We stayed there at the hotel Sapienta for one night, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy this city.

Porto and the Azulejos 💙

Did you visit Porto already?
It was our first time visiting Porto and it’s such a nice city! It has nice vibes, delicious food and beautiful view on the Douro river.

PS: Make sure you have good shoes as Porto is built on many hills!

The Valley of Viñales is one of the nicest attractions of Cuba. This region has a unique landscape, where you can walk, ride a horse and learn about the Cuban cigars. After a few days in Havana it is the perfect spot if you want to rest in the nature. 🌿

Havana Vieja, the old town of Havana is a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is the historic center of the city. You can walk between the streets of Havana and visit the main plaza of Havana like: Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Vieja...
You can take a drive in one of the famous old timer and enjoy a ride in this historical city.

Next Stop: Cuba!🇨🇺 we travelled in Cuba for 2 weeks in April 2019. It is a country with a very interesting history and a mix of Hispanic and African cultures. First city visited was of course Havana, the vibrant capital of Cuba. The architecture of Havana is incredible but many buildings are deteriorated.

Throw back to a wonderful Honeymoon in The Maldives. Our favorite moment there was definitely the snorkelling Safari! It was just incredible to see this beautiful underwater life. Many corals, colourful fish species, sea turtles and even big Sharks! If you go there you definitely should take part to a snorkelling Safari. The sharks are not dangerous but pretty impressive! 🐟🐡🦈🐋💙
