POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi, I’m Emily Rose 👋🏻 the travel addicted, adventure loving person behind this page.

There’s quite a few new people here so I thought I’d re-introduce myself!

In 2018, I hadn’t traveled anywhere and didn’t really have the money to….

So I sold everything, got out of my lease & vowed to spend at least a year traveling.

I couchsurfed around the world with locals, worked jobs all over to support myself (like guiding pub crawls in Poland, working at Oktoberfest in Germany or volunteering with sled dogs in Sweden!)

I began sharing my travels on my website: TheWanderlustRose.com

Eventually my blog readership grew and I began to partner with companies in exchange for “free” trips. This was a totally surreal moment.

I continued to learn photography from YouTube as my social media kept growing..

I got trained as a guide leading month long road trips for the company @topdecktravel & absolutely LOVED my job.

The pandemic happened and I lost my job guiding... So I started my own business, @wanderlustgrouptrips to lead, host and photograph trips around the world with you guys! Now literally hundreds of you have traveled with me 🥹

I’m still living out of my suitcase which can be wild at times 🤪 but have some things with my family in Minnesota and some things in Barcelona, Spain where I spend a lot of time ♥️

In just a few short years, I went from never traveling at all to full time travel blogger! It’s my sole income, greatest passion and I feel so fortunate everyday that I get to do what I do.

So here’s a few of the moments from the past few years that really changed me for the better ♥️ these travel moments provided growth, challenge & goal setting. I wouldn’t be who I am today without each and every one.

If you had to pick one of your most profound travel moments, what would it be??

ANTARCTICA BUCKET LIST ✨ @thewanderlust_rose

Save this post for reference!

When I shared with people I was going to Antarctica, a lot of people asked… “and what are you going to do there…?” Not realizing there is so much to see and do on this beautiful continent!

Of course, you can never predict that your itinerary will include all of these activities because weather regularly cancels everything from the polar plunge to whole days going ashore.

But we were so fortunate with weather and activities! So here is my favorite things we did while visiting continent 7 🇦🇶

A wholesome moment in Antarctica 🥹🐧 @thewanderlust_rose

I knew when we departed for this expedition we’d be getting to see penguins. But I had no clue we would be seeing HUNDREDS daily 🙈 @wanderlustgrouptrips

One of my favorite memories from the trip was when we were snowshoeing past countless penguin colonies and this little fellow spotted us then decided to tag along!

A perfect moment on a truly perfect day.

Swipe for the best koalas photos I’ve ever been able to capture 🐨 🇦🇺 🥹

Just spent a week in Australia & totally disconnected✌🏻 hardly took any pictures and just reconnected with friends. Took time away from work and went to the beach, my dream concert, photographed some wildlife, attended the most beautiful wedding ♥️♥️

Haven’t been back to Australia since I was here in 2021 & it feels so good to be back!!

P.S. how cute are sleeping koalas!?! taken in Sydney, Australia by @thewanderlust_rose
