Long overdue but here we go- of the 50 states I’ve seen, these are my top 5 states! I’m a born and raised Houstonian and will stand ten toes down when I say that we have the BEST food scene, but the views? Not so much. 😅 So of course, there’s something so special to me about taking the scenic routes to get to the mountains. The roads less traveled have rewarded me with some of the most amazing landscapes and overlooks. I love experiencing places that make me feel small and insignificant and connecting with nature has always left me inspired and humbled. The hope is to continue to contribute to tangible change to leave something behind for my nieces and nephews to enjoy one day.

5. Hawaii 🌺 - Oahu and Maui. Beaches, rivers, waterfalls, and mountains, they have it all! The most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.
4. California 🚣‍♂️- Lake Tahoe. The clearest, most serene lakes. Kayak all around and spend the afternoon hitting the trails.
3. Oregon 🌲- The Oregon Coast, insane cliff views and such diverse landscapes! The town itself is really charming and a perfect getaway from the big city.
2. Wyoming 🏔️- Grand Teton, the permanent postcard ingrained in my mind. All of the lakes at the base of the mountains like Jenny Lake and Jackson Lake provided perfectly still canvases that reflected the entire range. Seeing it with my own eyes made me feel so rich in life.
1. Montana 🐻- Glacier National Park, all the bears and mountain goats!! Going-to-the-Sun-Road had me emotional. It felt surreal to be driving through the heart of a landscape molded by ice, almost like traveling through a physical chronicle of Earth’s history. Even the air felt different here. 🥹 Got a ton of rain on the trails but probably my favorite hikes I’ve done in the US.

I learned unconditional love and sacrifice by being her daughter. There’s nothing small about the way my mom loves. From the way she shows up for her kids and grandkids, to the meals she makes the moment we say we’re craving something, my mom has taught me everything I know about giving selflessly. 27 years together and we still haven’t mastered the graceful laugh. 🤭 I hope we keep on honoring the younger versions of ourselves that wanted to stay wild and whimsy forever. I know those girls are so proud of us. 🥹❤️
