POSTS STORIES REELS

Season 01 of The Washed Process has been more than we could have expected, especially just starting out as podcasters.

We had no expectations going into this other than to have great conversations with talented, thoughtful, and creative people while getting to drink some of the world’s best coffee.

We are planning season 02 right now and just because season 01 might be officially wrapped, that doesn’t mean we are going anywhere.

We a lot planned between now and then from physical goods to other episode types to more of the things of life and faith and creativity and transformation.

You can listen to all episodes on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and elsewhere.

Thanks for making season 01 incredible.

Introducing Songs To Make Coffee To — Nº1.

This curated 90 minute mixtape playlist is made up of songs which are all roughly the same length of time it should take to make one cup of coffee (2:30 - 3:30) on most filter brew methods.

Many people don’t have a timer or use one to make their coffee, so in lieu of that, we wanted to provide a fun and enjoyable way to track how long it takes to make a cup of coffee with a variety of songs they can use as ‘timers.’

We’d love to hear your thoughts about this and if you like it, please share with your friends. Also, if you haven’t yet listened to all of Season 01 of The Washed Process, now’s a great time to do so. You can find us on Spotify, Apple Music, our website, and anywhere else you choose to listen to podcasts.

This playlist is exclusively on Spotify for the time being. Link in bio.

In Episode 08 with Propaganda ( @prophiphop ) we talk quite a bit about the process of collaborating with others, what it means to be a good collaborator, and how everyone involved can bring their expertise and strengths to the table in ways that strengthen the final result rather than aiming to compete for attention.

This point of view has made Propaganda a master of collaboration and has recently come to life in the real world through the release of his new Terraform Cold Brew in collaboration with Onyx Coffee ( @onyxcoffeelab ). Although Propaganda has collaborated with Onyx and other coffee labels before, this one brings together his work on Terraform, which extends across a book, music, and more, adding yet another intentional layer of creative detail and nuance to his work.

If you haven't listened to the episode, you can do so now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else by seaching The Washed Process.

Additionally, you can experience this coffee for yourself by buying it at:

Every episode of The Washed Process Podcast we hand pick a coffee or two that we send out to both hosts and featured guest. We then all make that coffee however we want and drink it as if we were together in a physical space, all sharing a cup together, talking about our thoughts on it, why we made it the way we did, and if it’s even good. It should also be noted that none of these roasters are giving us coffee. We are going out of our way to buy and chat about them.

In Episode 08 with hip-hop and spoken word artist, author, speaker, coffee connoisseur, and entrepreneur Propaganda ( @prophiphop ) we get into some real talk on everything from coffee and how it's represented, especially in western cultures, to collaborating with others, building worlds, and everything in-between.

Prop shares his thoughts on what it means to collaborate and how humility plays a central role in that process, the impacts of creating art — both good and bad — and how it can created and destroy culture, the differences between Christian and Gospel music, the Black experience in America, and thoughts on what kind of coffee is best.

There's so much that this conversation is packed with, that it's worth carving out some time to listen to. We haven't stopped thinking about it since it happened.

You can listen now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, our website, or anywhere else podcats are available.

Episode 08 is now live — Collaboration, Humility, and Terraforming with Propaganda ( @prophiphop ).

In our newest episode of The Washed Process, we get to talk with author, speaker, spoken word and hip-hop artist, and all-around renaissance man, Propaganda.

Prop shares his paradigm on collaboration, and walks us through how he creates space for people to use their expertise and leaving room for him to do what he does best.

Additionally, we dive into the role humility plays in all of it and how to celebrate when people are at their best, how gospel music is central to the Black American experience, and how mainstream hip-hop artists have elements of faith in their music as a natural expression of life.

Listen now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all the places. Please rate, review, and share if you enjoy the conversation as it really goes a long way.

This piece of art was made by an AI art generator.

We plugged our entire tagline into an AI art generator and this is what it spat out. Needless to say, it is pretty remarkable given the input.

Creativity and innovation is ever-evolving. We have been created to continue creating and cultivating our world. We are made in the image of the ultimate Creator.

We’d love to know your thoughts on how you are approaching creativity, how creativity intersects with your faith, and how you think about the tools and ways we create continuing to evolve.

Comment, DM, or email us your thoughts.

Introducing Hard Lines Coffee ( @hardlinescoffee ) as our Episode 07 Featured Coffee Roaster.

In Episode 07 with musician and all-around creative Jonathan Ogden ( @jonathanogdenmusic ) we get the conversation started by all drinking a cup of this delicious natural processed coffee from Papua New Guinea.

In this episode, beyond hearing about Jonathan's creative journey, process of slowing down, and the impact his faith has on what he makes, each of us share about how we made the coffee, the notes we taste, and why we chose this coffee for Jonathan.

We come to find out that while Jonathan loves everything about coffee culture, drinking coffee itself isn't something he typically does, so he shares his inventive and unorthodox way of how he made his coffee without the proper gear (dare to follow his brew guide if you choose!)

This particular coffee is no longer on offer, but Hard Lines currently has some incredible other coffees originating from Peru to Ecuador to Timor-Leste. Regardless of whether you live in the UK, do yourself a favor and head over to their site and pick up a bag or two for yourself.

In Episode 06 with photographer Joe Greer ( @ioegreer ), we not only get to chat with him about coffee and his photography, but we are fortunate enough to dive much deeper into his journey as a person.

Recently, Joe released a meaningful and beautiful book with Harper Collins ( @harpercollins ) called 'The Lay of the Land' in which he shares in-depth his life's journey alongside some of the most moving and stunning photographs he's made to-date.

We touch on bits and pieces of his process and journey in this episode — which you can find on Spotify, Apple Music, our website, and elsewhere — but to understand Joe's journey and experience it through his own voice and writing, be sure to pick up a copy of this book yourself.

You can buy his book directly here:
