Hero or heritage!! Let's wind back the galactic clock to a time NASA's mighty marketing machine was space racing a mission to the moon with Neil, Buzz and Omega..;) But guess who didn't get a sponsored Speedy, even tho he needed a chrono to actually time space stuff: Big Willy!!

This poor dude wud be hurdled into space for 84 days and had to buy his own watch at the armyshop... He did however deeply plant his wrist & name into our watch world with this Seiko Pogue..;) Def a hero, but do I give a Uranus? Not really, I just like that it's yellow and has a Dutch date wheel..🧡

Gotta love legacy!! This amazingly abused and bashfully banged up Seamaster specimen, from the roaring 80's used to belong to my dad... Back in the day when OCD meant nothing and a watch was used to tell time wherever it endlessly adventured or was more epically endangered..;)

Absolutely beautifully beaten bezel, super sloppily stretched strap and imagine the stories that all the scratches of those scratches have to tell us? He used to have a similarly shabby 70's Submariner as well which was lost during a waterskiing crash in his 60's, proving that legends are bred not born..🤟

Cut the collabs!! It might sound disturbingly strange, but I actually have a lot of love for Tom Cruise... I'm old enough to have seen him slide around on his socks and whoever does summersaults in a chopper, is cool by me..;)

Surf is up!!! If there ever was something I am extremely interested in NOT having on my wrist, it would be my e-mails or any other form of unsolicited communication including social media... Why wud I wear a digital handcuff?

Life is luck!! Even tho I'm Dutch and slightly into wild watches, I have to heavily heartedly and blatently blushingly admit that I hadn't heard of Grönefeld up until 3 years ago..🙃 But after learning the hellish hard way that I should not wildly order whatever wicked watches unseen anymore, I instantly invited myself for a coffee and a real 'quick' casual catch-up with their crazy line-up of clocks...

So, so far, so semi-normal right? Wrong, because lurking in a perfectly lit corner this tantalum case casually lay around while waiting to be turned into the greatest Grönograaf the world has ever seen!! There wasn't any delicious demo on hand, nor pretty pompous PR-pics to show... But just two of the humblest horological heroes you'll ever meet and their passion for perfection, plus my luck..;)
