新幹線- I had just hopped off a different Shinkansen to connect to a JR line toward Onomichi when I spotted this one sitting across the platform. Nobody was around and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snap a quick shot of this absolute beast of a train.

Sometimes the best frames are the ones you never went looking for.

The cracks in the concrete tell more truth than the polished walls ever will.

When I was about 8 years old I’d stand out front this barbershop looking through the window watching Manny, Tony and Lynn cut hair. Who woulda thought that same kid would be a Barber today!

The gentleman in the second slide was the Owner Manny, he was a proud Chicago man. I took this photo of him back in 2021 at his shop “The Men’s Den” shortly after Covid. I think about Manny from time to time and his strong facial expressions and his slick back hair. He gave me lots of great advice, I loved walking into that shop and the scent of the space is one I’ll always remember. Hope he’s doing alright wherever he may be.

Sometimes the best photographs come from feeling the moment instead of trying to control it. I’m really happy with how this one turned out and I hope you enjoy it too. 🫶🏻
