This morning, the official program of The Traka began.

We kicked things off with a Women Ride @thewcollectivee , a social ride for women starting from the @sramroad house, right in the backyard of Girona.

From the city center to its backyard. In just two minutes, you move from urban streets into an environment that feels like a different world. The SRAM house captures it perfectly: so close to everything, yet fully immersed in nature.

We’ve also experienced the first moments of gravel and nature in their purest, wildest form. Images that explain exactly why we are here.

This year, we take a step further. We’ve created an AI, a GPT specialized in The Traka, where you can check schedules, regulations, and get answers to any questions. You’ll find it through the link in our bio.

And as a new feature, we’ve also set up an information point to better support everyone during these days.

Thank you all for being here.

See you out there.

When we first came to Chile a few years back we realize how beautiful this country was and how friendly this race could be to try out maybe for the first time an ultra or maybe for more challenge as another beautiful race before the year ends. After last years participation, Sami only saw 11 women+ starting and decided to create a little help with More Women More Adventure together with @acrossandes, doing a few webinars over the year, creating a safe environment like a whatsap group for the event where only women+ will be invited and doing a lovely dinner pre race to get to meet all together. And of course the final touch 40women+ lining up into some portraits but also celebrating it together with @paulinapintof the race organizer and the women helping out :)

Initiatives like this are amazing. This year, @brightmidnight.cc in Norway is opening 70 spots for women during registration.
Today at 5 p.m. it starts, and we’ll be delighted to welcome more women into the field of ultra events.

We think this event is very welcoming. If you don’t know, it takes place mostly in daylight, covering around 1,100 kilometers through beautiful Norway. Sami did it last year and is encouraging all women and FLINTA riders to join this amazing event.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us!
