This is always a bittersweet moment for me 🥹 At your very first appointment with us, we take a little poloroid of you both and add it to our client wall in the showroom. It stays there throughout your entire journey with us, right up until your wedding day. Then once the van is loaded with your decor, we pop it inside your wedding card. I get so invested in every wedding. From the first consultation, chatting about your plans and bringing your ideas to life, to all the little details in the lead up to your big day. You become so much more than just another wedding in our diary. Last week, I went beyond a floral installation and transformed an entire business! 👀💗 I regularly visit @dollfacemelton for my lashes and brows, and during my last appointment, I told Abbi that her salon just wasn’t ‘her’. Considering I’ve known her for 30 years, I think I was allowed to be that blunt 😂 Because if you know Abbi, you know she’s pink, leopard print and unapologetically herself. And her work space simply wasn’t reflecting that. Bold move? Maybe. But her business is established enough to carry off a look with a bit of personality, and I knew we could create something that felt completely her. By the end of the appointment, she was convinced! And while she’s brilliant at what she does, DIY wasn’t exactly her area of expertise, so I offered to help bring the vision to life. The result? Yes, I created a floral installation, but I also filled, sanded, painted, wallpapered, drilled and assembled. And Abbi got stuck in too, picking up a few new skills along the way! And no, before anyone asks, I’m not launching an interior design service 😅 But I’m a creative through and through. When I get an idea in my head, I want to see it through, whether it’s for my own business or someone else’s. A little fact you might not know about me: before I became a wedding stylist, I was a graphic designer. So, naturally, I couldn’t stop at the salon.. I designed Abbi a brand new logo and marketing materials to bring the whole rebrand together too! It was so much fun taking an idea and turning it into a space that feels completely different. And honestly, it’s a reminder of how much goes into what I do for weddings, too - from the initial vision and colour palette to the finishing details that make everything feel cohesive.
