At least I can admit it! 🤷‍♀️
👨‍🍳 Cooking for a family is a labor of love. And I really enjoy doing it….
But 👋🙋‍♀️ guilty! If you come over to my house and I prepare a meal for you … don’t even think for a second you’ll be able to register the taste before I ask ask you how you think it turned out. 😂 in fact, you should prepare some generic feedback before coming over! 😂I just want to make sure people enjoy this meal as much as I enjoyed making it for them ❤️

Just my morning view 🏡🏚️

If you have a chickens, please weigh in in the comments.
🏚️ for us, one of the best additions to our coop was a solar powered automatic door. ☀️It is scheduled for dusk and dawn each day. The chickens need to be shown once or twice to go up at dusk, but then after that they self-regulate and go up on their own.

DINNER IDEAS 📆 Drop your go-to dinner ideas👇
Ask me for any “recipes” or ingredients you’d like me to share for any of these. Usually, I throw things together with a mixture of pre-made items, pantry items, and meal-prepped items so dinner comes together every night of the week.
And, yes! Once per week, we get take out. This is something that helps ‘feed’ their desire for takeout, but also gives us a a break. Leftovers from a double batch of cooking is also great here and there - at least for us.
Goals:
✅ EASY
✅ KIDS WILL EAT IT
✅ GET AS MUCH NUTRITION ON THEIR PLATE AS POSSIBLE
Dinner:
1-Ranch Chicken Wraps w/ side veggies, pickles
2-Quesadillas - chicken, bean, cheddar cheese with salsa, avocado, greek yogurt, lettuce, peppers, hot sauce on top
3-Whole wheat pancakes and eggs
4- Sloppy-Joe stuffed sweet potatoes with spinach and melted cheese
5- Mac & cheese, added broccoli, shredded chicken
6- Grilled kielbasa sandwiches topped with sautéed peppers and onions, side of roasted potatoes
7- Tacos with hard and soft shells, all the toppings
8- Chinese food takeout
9- Chicken cutlets with steamed broccoli and baked potatoes
10- Flank steak fajitas with all the toppings
11- MUSTGO DAY - clean out the fridge with leftovers
12- Pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic with garlic bread and side salads
13- Chicken teriyaki with brown rice, sautéed peppers, onions, broccoli
14- Quesadillas - again =)
15- Breakfast for dinner- waffles with homemade strawberry ‘syrup’, eggs, fruit, bacon
16- BBQ pulled pork with roasted potatoes and corn
17- Fast food Friday - each child chose their own, hubby and I ate leftovers
18- Seafood boil
19- Pasta with bolognese meat sauce
20- Hibachi lunch/dinner out
21- Dry spiced ribs with baked potatoes and sliced vegetables
22- Sausage and pepper sandwiches with side salads

WTF is this? 🤔

You’ve probably walked past one while picking up pumpkins and assumed it was a decorative gourd. It’s actually delicata squash, and you can eat all of it: the skin, the flesh and the seeds. No peeling needed.✅

Two easy ways to cook delicata squash:
1. Slice it into half-moons and roast them
2. Halve it and stuff it like zucchini boats

📌 If you see one at the farmers market or grocery store this week, give it a try.
