Before the stills and casks, whisky began here.

It was a pleasure to capture Springbank’s authentic processes, including traditional floor malting - barley turned, tended and carefully overseen by hand. A practice few Scottish distilleries still carry out on site, offering a rare insight into the craft behind the spirit.
