The family farm plus vintage cars—including the Firebird his grandma drove to the same high school he’ll be graduating from—made for the perfect combination for Kellan’s senior session. Absolutely love the light this time of year as the days get shorter and the sun doesn’t get so high in the sky.

I’m often asked what my favorite type of wedding to photograph—elopement, small, large, etc.—and my answer is always the same. I wouldn’t trade any of them. And don’t think I’d ever just choose one to specialize in. Because if I chose to focus on elopements, or just the bigger, larger weddings, I’d miss out on the in-between intimate weddings like Dora and Levin’s day this past week. Super relaxed, surrounded by their family and close friends, with tons of touches they made themselves like all of the signage and dinner/dessert labels. It was such an honor to be a part of and capture.

Chloe & Landen’s stunning pre-wedding adventure session and wedding at Great Northern Resort last week! It was another week of extremely variable weather but we were blessed with dramatic skies and no rain to speak of for this intimate wedding full of family and their closest friends.

I had the pleasure of spending almost two full days with Joseline and Max for their wedding here in Whitefish. First, we took the risk of a Glacier National Park adventure session before the wedding, during a week with basically constant rain in the forecast. Thankfully, the rain disappeared and we had an incredible sunset. Then on the wedding day in Whitefish, it was much the same story. Beautiful for the ceremony and boat ride before heading indoors for the reception, including a Maricahi band!

What to say about Candace and Ryan’s wedding last night at Diamond B Weddings in Kalispell. From glorious weather for the majority of the afternoon, to shots with granny, a rager of a dance party, and a ten minute torrential downpour as the night was coming to a close, it’s hard to think of anything that could’ve improved upon it.

Nothing quite like traipsing around Glacier National Park on a perfect evening for some footloose and fancy free Senior portraits. Shout out to Maddie for being so much fun and wanting to try some creative ideas I’d never done before.

A magical evening this past weekend at Star Meadows Ranch for Josie and Williams close-knit friends and family wedding weekend! The sky did decide to cloud up just as the ceremony started, but any precipitation held off until just after we finished group photos. And after a 20 minute downpour the evening went right back to a beautiful sky filled with clouds. Such an honor to be able to document these occasions for people.

In June I had the opportunity to spend a particularly moody day in Glacier National Park with the Hewines family. It was a combo family/senior portrait session, where I was primarily on family portrait duty while the matriarch of the family, @photographybydinamarie, was capturing senior portraits for her daughter. I was also able to grab some senior portraits in a sort of B-Camera role, as well as some behind-the-scenes for Dina. It was a great evening, and fun to work with another photographer not super familiar with the setting and see how we approach locations on different ways.

I may not be posting these on “Senior Sunday” but they were taken on a Sunday. A fun and perfectly laid back senior portrait session for this theatre kid. We goofed around at @atpwhitefish, walked her dog in the park, and knocked out some headshots she can use for auditions. A prime example of really tailoring her session to match her overall vibes.

This past weekend’s wedding at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake was a smoke show—both literally and figuratively—and was such a joy to be a part of.

Class of 2027 senior Tyler and his dad were traversing the western states where he was taking part in several collegiate football camps. I was fortunate to link up with them after a stop at a camp with the Grizzlies in Missoula for some Senior portraits in West Glacier.

The early alarm is never an easy thing when you’re planning on being at Logan Pass near sunrise, but it’s always worth it. Had an amazing morning hike with Sasha and Anthony yesterday for their engagement portraits as a prelude to their wedding next summer.
