I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining the University of Oklahoma Softball program as a Graduate Assistant!

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue my education while learning and growing within one of the most respected softball programs in the country.

This game has taken me places I never could have imagined and has continued to open doors that I’m beyond thankful for. I’m excited to step into a new role, learn from some of the best in the game, and continue growing as a coach and as a person.

Thank you to every coach, teammate, mentor, friend, and family member who has poured into me and helped me get here. And most importantly, thank you God for continuing to guide my path and put opportunities in front of me that are bigger than anything I could have planned for myself.

Part 30 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

This response captures something every athlete needs to hear: softball is something you do-it isn’t who you are.

It’s easy to let a home run make your day or an error ruin your week. But your identity was never meant to depend on one at-bat, one game, or one season.

The best athletes learn to celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and keep showing up with the same passion and effort. They understand that growth happens both on and off the field.

Play hard. Compete with confidence. Have fun. Be a great teammate. And remember that the person you’re becoming will always be more important than the statistics you leave behind.

Your value isn’t found in your performance-it’s found in who you are. by @thewolfelab_

Part 29 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

One of the most meaningful lessons an athlete can learn is that your purpose has to be bigger than the game itself.

Softball is an incredible gift, but it’s also a game filled with failure. If your identity, joy, and purpose depend only on your performance, the highs will never feel high enough, and the lows will feel overwhelming.

I love the perspective shared in this response because it reminds us to find something deeper than wins, losses, statistics, or recognition. For her, that purpose is glorifying Jesus and recognizing that every opportunity to compete is a gift.

Whether your purpose is your faith, your family, inspiring younger athletes, or simply becoming the best version of yourself, having a foundation that’s bigger than softball allows you to compete with freedom instead of fear.

At the end of the day, softball will end for all of us. The friendships, the character you build, the lessons you learn, and the person you become—that’s what lasts.

Play with purpose. Be grateful for every opportunity. And never lose sight of the reason you lace up your cleats in the first place. by @thewolfelab_

Part 27 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

Growth rarely comes from doing only what’s expected.

The athletes who continue to improve are often the ones who choose to do a little more—one more rep, one more sprint, one more opportunity to learn, one more chance to get back up after falling short.

I love the message in this response because it’s not about chasing perfection. It’s about embracing the mindset of continuous growth. That extra effort may not pay off overnight, but over time, it’s what separates good athletes from great ones.

There will always be moments when you’re tired, discouraged, or wondering if the work is worth it. Keep going anyway.

You never know which extra rep, extra practice, or extra ounce of belief in yourself will open the next door.

Give your best. Then be willing to give a little more. by @thewolfelab_

Part 26 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

As you continue to chase higher levels of the game, you quickly learn that becoming the player you want to be requires sacrifice.

Your schedule gets busier. Your free time becomes limited. You’ll have to make choices that others around you may not understand. Sometimes that means missing out on things you enjoy because you have goals that require your commitment.

But sacrifice doesn’t mean you stop living life.

It means learning how to prioritize what matters most. It means being disciplined enough to choose your dreams, even when the easier choice is to walk away.

The athletes who separate themselves are the ones who are willing to do the things others aren’t. They understand that success doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through the small choices made every day.

So chase your goals. Work hard. Be disciplined. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey along the way.

The sacrifices you make today are helping build the player—and the person—you’re becoming. by @thewolfelab_

Part 25 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

As you get older, it’s easy to lose sight of why you started playing in the first place.

The pressure grows. The expectations get bigger. You start chasing stats, awards, roster spots, and the next opportunity. Before you know it, the game that once brought you so much joy can start to feel like a job.

This response is such a good reminder to remember your “why.”

Think back to the little girl who couldn’t wait to get to the field. She wasn’t playing for recognition or accolades. She played because she loved the game.

Hold on to that.

Compete hard. Chase your goals. Work relentlessly. But don’t let success—or failure—steal the joy that made you fall in love with softball in the first place.

Play freely. Laugh with your teammates. Be present in the moment. And remember that your value will never be determined by a stat line or a scoreboard.

Never forget why you started. by @thewolfelab_

Part 24 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

The recruiting process can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems like everyone around you is announcing offers, commitments, and visits. It’s easy to believe there’s only one “right” path.

The truth is, there isn’t.

One of my favorite reminders from this response is to keep an open mind. Incredible softball is played at every level—Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and junior college. The goal isn’t to chase a logo or compare your journey to someone else’s. The goal is to find the place where you can grow, compete, and thrive.

Comparison has a way of stealing your joy and distracting you from the path that’s meant for you. Stay focused on your own goals, trust your timeline, and remember that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be successful.

There is a place for you.

Keep working, keep believing, and trust that the right opportunity will come at the right time. by @thewolfelab_

Part 23 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

One of the greatest limitations we face as athletes isn’t always our ability—it’s the limits we place on ourselves.

There will be setbacks. Injuries. Failure. Moments when people doubt you, and even moments when you doubt yourself. But none of those things get to decide your future.

Your mindset matters.

The athletes who continue to grow aren’t the ones who have the easiest journey—they’re the ones who keep showing up when progress feels slow. They trust the process, stay consistent, and choose to believe in themselves even when the results haven’t caught up yet.

Don’t let fear convince you to play small. Don’t let someone else’s opinion determine what you’re capable of.

You are capable of more than you know.

Keep believing. Keep working. Keep becoming. by @thewolfelab_

Part 22 | What I Wish I Knew Series

I’m asking athletes one question: What do you wish you knew sooner about playing softball seriously?

One bad game. One tough tournament. One mistake.

None of those should be enough to make you forget why you fell in love with softball in the first place.

Failure is part of the game, but it doesn’t have to take away your passion for it. Instead, let it teach you. Let it challenge you. Let it push you to become just a little bit better than you were yesterday.

I love the reminder to fall in love with the process, not just the results. The athletes who stay consistent through the highs and lows are the ones who focus on getting 1% better every day—not chasing perfection.

Work to be the best you can be, trust the preparation you’ve put in, and step onto the field knowing you’ve earned the right to compete.

Because success isn’t built in a single game—it’s built in the work you do long before game day. by @thewolfelab_
