So tonight, Mrs.C & my good self are heading out to @newcenturymcr to see @casadecalexico for the 1st time. Needless to say, we're very excited. This album has always, (20 years!) been a staple around Clark Towers, and it's gonna be fantastic to see it played live. So many brilliant tunes, it's gonna be something extra special. #calexico #gigs #livemusic #livemusicisbetter #musiclover #musiclovers by @theworkersrespite

Fantastic day out at the After Impressionism Exhibition at The National Gallery. So many great artworks to see, many familiar, some not so, which is always a brilliant way of finding your new favourite artists, and delving deeper into their back catalogues! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The likes of Sonia Delaunay, Edouard Vuillard, Max Pechstein, Santiago Rusiñol were all brand new finds for me so I’m really looking forward to entering their worlds and exploring more work from these talented people. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ There was so much variety that I’ve picked just a few from a superb collection, all eye-catching and awe inspiring. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It was also a real pleasure to see paintings by the likes of Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky and Edvard Munch that were maybe not as recognisable as the more obvious works that we tend to recognise almost without thinking. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You’ve got til 13th August to go and see it, so get yourselves down there.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Hope you enjoyed it, let me know which are your faves.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ List of Artworks:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1)Paul Cezanne (1839-1906) Bathers (Les Grandes Baigneuses). 1894 – 1905⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2)Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) – Woman from Arles. 1890⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3)Vincent Van Gogh (1839- 1890) - Sunset at Montmajour. July 1888⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4) Paul Signac (1863-1935) - Setting Sun:Sardine Fishing. Adagio. Opus 221. 1891⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 5) Vincent Van Gogh (1839- 1890) - Farmhouses at Saintes Maries. 1888⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 6) André Derain (1880-1954) - The Dance. 1906⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 7) Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) – Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II. 1912⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 8) Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) - Nude Combing her Hair. 1906⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 9) Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) - Tree. 1908⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 10) Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944) – Bavarian Village with Field. 1908⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 11) Sonia Delauney (1885-1979) - Young Finnish Woman. 1907⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 12) Edvard Munch (1863-1944) - At the Deathbed. 1895⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 13) Edvard Munch (1863-1944) – Cabbage Field. 1915⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣ @nationalgallery #afterimpressionism #Impressionism #impressionistart #artgallery #artofinstagram #artoftheday #kunst taken in Lancashire by @theworkersrespite
