I’m not decorating for Christmas in October 😂

I’m just refusing to wait until November to start thinking about everything that needs to happen.

Because once November hits, the calendar gets full FAST. School stuff. Thanksgiving. Travel. Gifts. Holiday events. Food. Kids. Work. All of it.

And I do not want to spend November + December carrying 700 little holiday decisions around in my brain.

So this is part of my October reset.

I’m looking ahead. Making the decisions I can make now. Checking the budget. Starting the gift list. Figuring out travel. Thinking about Thanksgiving food. Making sure the random little things that always sneak up on us are already on my radar.

You do not need to DO Christmas in October.

But you can make a few decisions in October that make November and December a whole lot easier.

That’s really the point of my monthly resets: think ahead now so future me has less to manage.

And these are only the holiday-related things on my October reset 👀

If you want my full monthly reset system for the entire year, comment ALL and I’ll send all 12 monthly reset checklists for one-time $9—no monthly fee🫶

School info does NOT need to live in 14 different places. 😂

I keep one School Dashboard in my Notes app for the things I know I’ll need again — important dates, teacher info, snack ideas, things I need to send, and all the random school details that are way too easy to forget.

Because I am not digging through emails or Googling the school phone number for the 14th time this year. 😅

Want a head start?

Comment SCHOOL and I’ll send you my copy + paste School Dashboard notes so you can get yours set up before school starts. 📱✏️

I don’t remember everything.

I have a list for that. 👏🏼

Packing lists and vacation plans? Saved.
Repeatable groceries and meals? Saved.
My favorite songs and playlists? Also saved.
School information, home projects, monthly resets, random ideas, life admin… all of it has a place in my phone.

Because the goal isn’t to become better at remembering 700 things.

The goal is to stop expecting my brain to hold all of them.

When I need something, I don’t dig through old emails, search my camera roll, or hope I remember where I put it. I open my Notes app and it’s already there.

Your phone can hold the information.
Your brain should not have to. 🤍

Comment PHONE and I’ll send you my free phone guide so you can start building your own system—and stop using your brain as storage.

the holidays don’t have to live in your head every year. 🙅🏽‍♀️

set up your notes once and you never have to remember it all again.

📝make a main folder, then a note for each holiday inside it. build each one around what works for you. i shared a few ideas in the slides, but make it yours.

🎄if you host, add a hosting note: what to get ready, what to buy, what to do ahead. do you travel? add a note for that too: what to order, what to pack, travel details booked.

🦃thanksgiving is smaller for us, so those notes are short. christmas is a different story. we do a ton around the holidays, so that’s where i keep everything i need to remember year after year.

comment PHONE and i’ll send you my free phone reset to make your phone work for you.

overwhelmed mom in a busy season? me too.

baby #3 on the way, a home build, the holidays, work. all at once.

so once a month i block 90 minutes, as close to the 1st as i can, and plan the whole thing. i close out last month, go through every day, set my goals, review our big projects, set up my phone, and look 60-90 days out.

it’s november 1 and my december is already on the calendar, as well as january.

i’m a control freak and i’ll own it. i love knowing my day to day life, not finding out about it the week of.

my money reset is part of it too. i find my net worth (assets minus liabilities) and see how it moved our goals that month.

comment LIFEPLAN and i’ll send you the checklist with my tips and questions for every step.

comment NETWORTH and i’ll send you the net worth tracker.
save this for your next reset.

3 reminders settings that make your phone do the remembering, and they take about 2 minutes total.

save this for your next cup of coffee and send it to the mom who keeps asking “wait, what was i supposed to do?”

Home Screen quick win to see it all for the day >>

here’s how, in about 60 seconds:

long press an empty spot on your home screen
tap edit in the top left corner
add widget
search for your calendar
pick which calendar you want to see at all times
hit add widget, drag it anywhere you please, and click done

now every time you pick up your phone, you see exactly where you need to be. because if it’s not on your calendar, you ain’t showing up.

save this and set it up right now, or set it up later 📌

the scariest thing about being a working mom isn’t the schedule. it’s everyone else’s opinion of it.

happy halloween week to the moms doing both. 🎃

send this to a working mom who needs to hear it’s okay to want both.

my one visual hack for a shared family calendar: give each calendar its own color.

not event colors. we don’t need a good ole rainbow. every calendar in your phone gets one color, so every event in that calendar shows up as that color.

one glance at your phone and you can see every family event that week.

here’s how: log into google calendar on your desktop, add a calendar for your family, and invite your partner. then on your phone, tap the three lines on the left, scroll all the way down to settings, and pick a color for each calendar.

want hot pink? do your hot pink. 💕

this is week 4 of 12 in my mom OS series. save this for the next time you set up a family calendar 📌

and tell me: what color are you making your shared family calendar? 👇

& if you haven’t yet, comment MOMOS & I’ll send you the 12 systems I live by for free as an overstimulated, type a mom.

a notes app should make your life easier, not be one more thing you have to manage.

save this for the next time yours starts looking like a junk drawer.
