☀️ The heat is intense in Sonneghri. The Tetrarchy slumbers beneath the sun, but life teems in the shadows.

Allow me to introduce the traditional attire of the inhabitants of the Tetrarchy of Sonneghri, a region where the sun reigns supreme and the night is alive. 🐪✨

Every fold, every fabric and every piece of jewellery is designed for survival in the scorching desert, but also to pay homage to the Sun Goddess, Dienne. From the reddish hues of the Oriana Desert to the dark tones of the Black Desert of Roshana, the garments tell the story of a people who have adapted to their environment.

🔸 The man wears a cloak bearing Dienne’s emblem, ready to shield himself from the sandy wind.
🔸 The woman wears light garments with jewellery designed to channel solar magic, a sacred art controlled by the Solar Lineage.

Can you imagine living in a city that only comes to life when the sun sets? 😲 Let me know in the comments which detail of the outfit you like best.

I use my weekends to work on this project and right now I’m developing the sketches for the different civilisations.

These are from the Primitive Lands of Saard, a nomadic tribe south of Ikkra, which was the first one I developed when I started this project over 3 years ago. I’m particularly attached to them, and I’ve lost count of how many sketches I’ve done and how much research I’ve carried out to finally find exactly the right mood I was looking for.

I hope you like it🥹💫🤗 by @theworldofikkra

Hi there!💫 On this account, I’ll be posting sketches and the full visual development of a story/world-building project I’ve been working on since 2024 (it’s already been 3 years – my goodness), and it's called:

"THE WORLD OF IKKRA"

Now, after all this time, I finally feel I’ve reached a level of artistic skill where I can bring to life everything I want to create: characters, places, creatures… a whole world.

If you’re still reading this far, thank you so much for your support! This is a very important project for me and means a great deal emotionally, so thank you so very much for your support!

Character: Dith

Dith is one of the main and most enigmatic characters in the story. As she is the first (maybe the second) character I’ve created for this story, I thought it would be best to post about her first. What do you think? by @theworldofikkra
