@todayrestcafe was among the first restaurants in Erbil to shape the hospitality scene with its unique style, exceptional service, and strong focus on a welcoming family atmosphere. Our challenge was to preserve the restaurant’s essence while introducing changes that strengthen its foundation and reflect its reputation. We developed a comprehensive brand strategy to guide the overall direction; while also creating a visual system, including a custom logotype and mascot that communicate the restaurant’s local identity and history. by @thewsdesigns

کتێبی «لەژێر ٢١ تیشکی خۆردا» یەکێکە لەو پڕۆژە نیشتمانییانەی کە بەوپەڕی شانازییەوە بەشداریمان تێدا کردووە. لەم بەرهەمەدا، شوناس و یەکپارچەیی کوردستانی گەورە لە دیدگای کامێرای فۆتۆگرافەر @harem_sewaisi ـەوە بەرجەستە کراوە، ئەمەش بە پاڵپشتییەکی بەهێزی @nishtmansi. بۆ ئەوەی کتێبەکە لە ئاستی گەورەیی پەیامەکەیدا بێت، ئێمە لە whitespace ئەرکی دروستکردنی شوناسی براند (Brand Identity)، لەگەڵ دیزاین و سەرپەرشتیی بەرهەمهێنانی کتێبەکەمان گرتە ئەستۆ. ئامانجمان ئەوە بوو بە کوالیتییەکی نێودەوڵەتی و تایبەت کارەکە جێبەجێ بکەین تا ڕەنگدانەوەی چیرۆکەکانی ناو کتێبەکە بێت؛ چونکە سروشت و کولتووری کوردستان شایستەی ئەوەیە بە بەرزترین ئاستی جوانی و پرۆفیشناڵی پیشان بدرێت. “Under 21 Rays of Sun” is one of the culturally rooted projects that we have had the privilege to work on. This publication serves as a visual testament to the unified identity of Greater Kurdistan, captured through the lens of the photographer @harem_sewaisi and with the support of @nishtmansi. To give the book a visual language worthy of its message, we at whitespace took charge of the brand identity design, book layout, and supervising the production. Our goal was to execute everything up to international standards, ensuring that every page reflects the powerful stories within this book; because our rich culture and breathtaking landscapes deserve to be seen in the best possible light. by @thewsdesigns

In Swedish culture, Fika is a daily ritual of stepping away, slowing down, and making time for genuine connection. The experience of a streaming device doesn’t start when you press play, it starts when the package lands in your hands. 📦 That meant thinking about the opening of the packaging, the shape of the device, how it feels in your hand, and the way everything comes together. We sketched out and 3D tested various versions of the device and remote control, to create a final form that feels comfortable, functional and refined. ئەزموونی ماڵپەڕێکی پەخشکردن لە ساتی پەخشکردنەوە دەست پێناکات، بەڵکو لەو ساتەوە دەست پێدەکات کە پاکێجەکە دەگاتە دەستت. 📦 بۆیە بیرمان لە هەموو وردەکارییەک کردەوە، هەر لە کردنەوەی پاکێجەکەوە بۆ شێوەی ئامێرەکە، هەستی گرتنی لە دەستدا، تا دەگاتە ئەوەی چۆن هەموو بەشەکان بەیەکەوە دەگونجێن. چەندین سکێچ و 3Dمان بۆ شێوەی ئامێرەکە و کۆنترۆڵەکە دروستکرد، تا گەیشتینە شێوەیەکی کۆتایی کە لە دەستدا ڕێک دابنیشێت و عەمەلی بێت و شکڵێکی جوانی هەبێت. by @thewsdesigns

What makes a streaming platform feel like a natural part of your home? For HD Box, we created an identity that reflects its role as an accessible and familiar entertainment experience. We wanted HDBox to stand out not only through its design, but the experience it delivers, so we built a vibrant identity full of movement and energy, reflecting a product designed to make entertainment feel accessible, effortless, and fun. For us, seeing a brand we designed find its place in people’s homes makes every step of the process worth it. چی وا دەکات ماڵپەڕێکی پەخشکردن ببێت بە بەشێک لە ماڵەکەت؟ بۆ (ئێجدی بۆکس) کەسایەتیەکی وامان دروست کرد کە ڕەنگدانەوەی رۆڵی براندەکە بێت لە سادەیی و ئاسانی بەکارهێنان. ئامانجمان ئەوەبوو (ئێجدی بۆکس) جیاواز دەرکەوێت، نەک تەنها لە ڕووی دیزاینەوە بەڵکو لە ئەزموونی بەکارهێنانیشدا، هەر بۆیە کەسایەتییەکی زیندوو و پڕ لە وزەمان بۆ دروست کرد، هەموو ئەمانەش ڕەنگدانەوەی ئەم بەرهەمەیە کە وا دەکات ساتەکانی تەماشاکردن بە بێ ئەرک و بە ئاسانی بەسەر ببەیت. بۆ ئێمە، کاتێک دەبینین بەرهەمێکی دیزاینکراومان جێگەی خۆی لە ماڵی خەڵکدا دەکاتەوە، ماندووبوونی تەواوی قۆناغەکانمان لەبیر دەباتەوە. by @thewsdesigns

ئێمە لە وایتسپەیس گرنگیەکی زۆر دەدەین بە بەکوردیکردنی ناوی براندەکان، لەبری بەکارهێنانی فۆنتی ئامادە، لە سفرەوە خۆمان کار لەسەر دروستکرنی پیت بە پیتی لۆگۆکە دەکەین بۆ ئەوەی لەگەڵ زمانە بیانیەکان بیگونجێنین. چێژێکی زۆر دەبینین لە کارکردن لەسەر ئەم وردەکاریانە بەتایبەت کە ئەنجامی کارەکانمان دەبینین. چونکە هەبوونی زمانی کوردی بە شێوازێکی ڕێک و لە ئاستی زمانەکانی دیکە گرنگیەکی زۆری هەیە بۆ تۆخکردنەوەی کەسایەتی و شوناسمان. ئەمەش بەشێکە لەو براندانەی کارمان لەسەر کردووە، کامیانت لا جوانترینە؟ At whitespace, we care alot about localizing brand names, instead of using ready-made fonts, we design everything from scratch, crafting each letter piece by piece to harmonize beautifully with foreign letters. We really enjoy paying attention to these details, especially when we see the final results. Presenting the Kurdish language with such precision and elevating it alongside global languages is crucial to strengthening our identity and heritage.
