For more than three decades, The X-Files has challenged us to question what we know, but its legacy goes far beyond the unexplained.

It changed television and inspired generations of fans who found community, creativity, and a sense of belonging in the world of Mulder and Scully.

That legacy is why we created The X-Files Fan Retrospective, a documentary celebrating the series through the voices of the people who brought it to life and the fans whose lives it changed. Through nearly 100 interviews with original cast and crew, we’re sharing the stories and behind-the-scenes moments that helped make The X-Files a phenomenon.

We’re continuing our journey with Chris Carter as we work to finish the documentary. In the meantime, you can explore our interviews on YouTube and hear firsthand from the people who helped create The X-Files. We are honored to help tell its story. ❤️👽 #thexfiles #Mulder #Scully #thexfilesfanretrospective #90stv by @thexfiles25doc

“Television was lucky to have The X-Files”
We chat with the Enigma Live! Best known to X-Philes as The Conundrum in the classic X-Files episode “Humbug,” The Enigma shares his behind-the-scenes stories from the set, what it was like filming in freezing Vancouver, and how he was selected for the role.

Our interview rough cuts are available on our channel for fellow fans to enjoy while we continue the documentary. Link in bio! #thexfiles #mulder #scully #90stelevision #xfilesdocumentary by @thexfiles25doc
